Non-unique Task Force titles

By DiabloAzul, in Star Wars: Armada

From what little I can read, it looks like the non-unique titles in the Hammerhead Corvette expansion are designed to enable co-ordinated actions by ships with a matching title.

The leftmost Task Force card could be something generally along the lines of:

" While a ttacking a ship, you may choose and exhaust a copy of this card equipped to another friendly ship at distance X. That ship may perform up to 2 attacks . While this card is exhausted, you cannot attack."

The timing doesn't quite work, so the exact wording and details will surely be different - but I'm fairly sure this is the gist of it.

What about the second one, though? Synchronous movement? That would be cool...

Hmmmmmm that's an interesting extrapolation of the card. Does this mean the activated ship still gets to make 2 attacks, and the triggered ship does too? And at what point would you activate this ability? Since you have to declare your target first before you can trigger this, it seems messy to have an attack stacked within another attack.

Yeah, as I wrote it it's very messy, that's why I said the wording on the timing has to be somewhat different. There's also a gap after "up to 2 attacks", which may limit the target and/or the timing. As usual, the devil is in the details. But the purpose of the card is almost certain to be synchronisation of attacks.

You know, your extrapolation seems more reminiscent of a centrally controlled ship than two ships coordinating, such as that found in the Katana fleet or Another Chance (that was the name of the Alderanian ship, right?). . . maybe it'd just be something boosting the effects of an attack? Maybe saying two attacks from the same hull zone or something?

It's cool that it's limited to the "title" and it's an exhaust ability. That ion upgrade might be useful to prevent a ship from attacking.
