you may want to wait to make you terrain so that you can make whatever it's base is be an exact copy of the templates...

@jek through the video he said " Terrain rules are very easy very elegant for you to use your existing terrain you can take your Forrest or mountain or whatever you have and apply it to the game" so i assume there is no strict rules for shape or size for the terrain unless he is mistaken and all the 3d prints am planning will be useless lol

Reading terrain rules:

your tray hits a terrain piece while moving you enter that terrain. Appears you just pick your unit up and move it into the terrain. For shooting you measure from any point giving you 360 line of sight.

When you leave depending on which movement type you picked determines which unit edge touches the terrain.

I don't think it matters size-wise. I've heard FFG say a few times to use what you already own and if you don't own any go ahead and use our cardboard.

I'm pretty sure this isn't the rule. I can't remember where it was from but I'm sure the firing arc is from the front facing.

If you are in terrain and shoot you basically have 360 line of sight.
