"The agenda can be advanced" question

By Seam, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

I have a questions regarding the wording in the tropic. Usually agendas can only be advanced during the Mythos phase, even if they or other cards in play get more doom tokens during other phases which would normally be enough to advance them.

But if a card has the above wordings, does that mean the agenda must be advances out of order?

Thanks!

Yep, if you have an encounter card that explicitly states that it can cause the Agenda to advance, you pause, resolve all the affects of the Agenda advancing, then carry on with what you were doing.

As long as the Agenda has the appropriate number of doom on it and you have a card that says it can cause the agenda to advance then yes it advances, if a something says it can cause the agenda to advance, as above say after adding a doom, but after adding said doom and there still is not enough doom on the agenda to advance then it does not advance.

Please remember it's not just the Agenda having sufficient Doom...it's all cards in play, as the Agenda counts all Doom on the board, not just on the Agenda.

Yep. I remind myself by adding the same amount of Doom to those cards and to the Agenda, and when I clear Doom off a non-Agenda card, clear the same amount from the Agenda, as well. It's easier for me, especially on bigger maps when an Enemy 4 or 5 locations away might be sitting with Doom that could go unnoticed.
