in his GAMA talk, he stated that they'd only hit beta just before he'd come to the conference, and he'd insisted on getting to play the game before he left

I kinda skimmed the rest, because nothing jumped out at me.
I'm calling it mostly alternative facts. A few things jump out at me:
-I need more than an April 1 article to believe that the only ways to win are military and dishonor
-That pic with the playmat is an altered pic of an Elder Sign demo table from 2013
-The whole tone of the article is quite tongue-in-cheek
