Wave 6!

By CaribbeanNinja, in Star Wars: Armada

Wow, I had 22 pages to read through, and the only thing I really need to say after reading all of them is, I love what I see coming up in wave 6 and...

SWM20 is the SSD!

I really love the new Racks in the game. They are so much better than Expanded Launchers.

Can't help but wonder if boarding parties will follow with undisclosed troops to capture a ship. How wild would that be?

I really don't see this ever happening, if for no other reason than it involves moving and fiddling with another player's stuff, and some people get... touchy, about that sort of thing.

THE DOUBLE DEUCE!

Yeah there is wisdom there. I was thinking more along the lines the ship goes dormant and is out of play. Kind of an internal bomb and run.

Word. I am with you there!

There was a thread on these forums a while ago, what was it called...... Ackbars star destroyers?

Oh well, now with external racks....... MC30C swarms here we go :D

TIE fighters roll 3 blue dice. The odds of rolling at least one accuracy are higher than 25%. (I'm not sure of the exact math myself, as I don't remember the formula off-hand, but it's much higher than 25%).

The odds are 57.8% against squads (1 - 0.75^3) (1-probability that there are no acc rolled at all)

But don't forget sloane's ability to reroll crits when attacking ships. So the chance of your 1 blue die to acc against ships is 0.25 + 0.25*0.25 = 31.25%

Boarding Enginners are nasty.

flip a structural damage face up, deal an additional damage. Flip facedown, repeat due to cards saying resolve one at a time!!! Put on an engineering 4 ship, hello 4 extra damage cards!!!

Debatable, but unlikely .

FTFY. Argue it at the linked thread if you want to.

Edit, never mind.

I would agree with you if Repairing Hull was the same "price" in Engineering Points as Repairing Shields....

But with the abilityt o lose the Brace without even a chance of using it.... Ouch.

True but I've played plenty of games without getting to use brace. Outside of having ecm i generally plan on not getting to use it. Obviously it depends on the match ups and things.

I play imps only so my views a little bias but we all know 9 out of 10 doctors recommend using accuracy on brace vs imps to improve your life span.

As a Rebel Player - The Survivability of things certainly skews towards the Imperials when the Imperials have a way of not only ignoring - but completley removing - the Rebel's chance to utilise their defense tokens - which are often critically the only thing that keeps them alive... Redirects are the only way to use the "additional" shields a MonCal has over an ISD, for example....

Im not disagreeing with you. Without something like sloane I just think the leia combo previously mentioned would be a nightmare to overcome.

Ill proudly admit I'm super excited to use her because she seems REALLY good and I love squadron play. However, the last thing i want is something that messes up the great balance they manage from wave to wave. Never fun to have dramatic text change on a card via FAQ or having to wait a wave or 2 to balance it out.

If you're playing a Demolisher Gladiator not at all. I mean the racks are fantastic I grant you but ive found myself using that front arc with expanded launchers a lot more then once per match.

Having two permenant black dice to your front arc really changes how your opponent manuvers.
