i'm interested that people are looking to Avenger for their boarding parties - I'd rather stick it on a supporting ship (looking at you Quasar Fire...), and keep those slots free on the ISD.

Because it feels better and people like the Avenger title.

And weak weapons (with no weapons at all in the rear). I would expect them to be dirt cheap. 30+ range maybe?

I would give them high thirties, they can fight, they just can't fight real warships (see anything that isn't a QF or a medium up). It will also depend on what the first non-unique ship titles in Armada do for them.

3. Did we really need to encourage ramming? Can't win them all I guess.

Kinda agree with you on this one, but I think it was inevitable after that seen in Rogue One , and it feels relatively balanced still. Bearing in mind you're still taking damage (unless it's a flotilla), and you've not got a ton of shield/hull on the Hammerhead.

They have until the Start of July.

I would expect them to be pre-released and on sale at Worlds.

Stupid question....but I'm going to ask anyway.

-you don't have to run both hammerheads...right?

Im thinking one of the titles will reward you for running more then one, maybe discount the price of the pair.

Halfway through the Quarter? They have a very poor record of that actually happening - most recently with Wave 5 not being at that Worlds...

I would say low thirties. Lets not forget that CR90B is 39.

My guess is the 'Task Force' titles will reward you for running multiples. It would seem odd to give you two in one pack if they weren't encouraging you to at least consider using two.

As the guy that dared to enter his opinion into the fray in the errata thread against ET Double Ramming, I'm perfectly fine with this new title. Regular ramming was never the issue. Ramming twice with ET always was. And my guess is this ship can't take ET. Ram away. I know I will.

My understanding is that the intention was to have Wave 5 on sale at Worlds but something went wrong logistics-wise and it didn't work out.

Don't you want that Gunnery team on your ISD? :)

That is indeed a tough choice. . . do I guarantee damage and nearly ensure discarded defense tokens as early as tun 2 if I'm lucky, or opt to spread damage out among many enemies at a time. . . on the spur of the moment, I'll follow the advice 'Divide and Conquer' and rip the enemy's ships apart one at a time at a quicker rate. I do not know, I may eventually come around to spreading damage to many ships to kill 2 every 2 turns as opposed to 1 per turn (let's just say). . . I really don't know which is better, so I'll opt for the seemingly surer one of overloading 1 ship at a time.

Between this and the Asmodee Keynote apologies re: Destiny and those issues going on simultaniously - I will admit, I will not discount the possibility , but I am very sketchy about the probability , if that makes sense.

And these are nominally tougher. Swapping the Contain for an Evade on something intended to hang around at knife-fight ranges is a plus. It will also depend on their speed and agility, and the presence (or lack) of Support Teams for Engine Techs. Good God, typing that hurts, let alone feeling it (should it be possible).

I suppose the advantage of putting the Boarding Troopers on Avenger is that you can then take the Advanced Gunnery objective, and no-one will ever pick it.

Rae Sloane! ...And a commander Leia in the same wave? Okay, I don't care what they do with anything else for the rest of Armada's life. I'm happy as a clam.

I'm not sure I'd take that if I had an Ackbar MC80 with Enhanced Armament to use for it...

Yeah. The fact we're getting those two, and they're both badass? Every other detail is just icing to me. I'm jazzed.

Possibly an undisclosed upgrade? There's at least one double slot card not shown on the Hammerhead image.

Since it is a Rebel ship I doubt it will be stormtroopers. That would likely be an Imperial only upgrade.

It also means that if your other ship is destroyed or unable to activate before the Avenger then the title's effect can still be used. That was the main issue before, if I understand correctly: the difficult ballet needed to set up the situation where you could use the title.

Edit: man, my typing has gone out the window (as has my desire, if not need, for sleep)

I would frankly be SURPRISED if they didn't get ET, given what happened in Rogue One...

If that ISD gets into close range of your MC80, boards and can fire twice into you, well... Ackbar's sushi.

I would be surprised if they did given the price and the fact that they get a weapon slot (a rare thing for rebels) and no cards for the support slot.

Assault Frigates potentailly make a comeback though, for someone who wants something to Board with that isn't a Hammerhead....

I could see some Paragon shenagins being fun with boarding parties

So hang on... I can hit a ship with an Overload Pulse, then send boarding parties in to potentially remove every single defence token on that ship in a single turn?

I swear, it's like FFG were listening to my horsecrap yammerings about rewarding close attacks with augmented attack methods.
