Good point! Thanks Dras! Nevertheless, the Rebellion will not start with a petty raid. Mothma will liberate the people... well, the drift... well, whatever there is. But she will certainly not perform a petty raid!

I see it now:

Terrorist Leader Mon Mothma Pettily Raids Crashes Drift.

Out of Gentlemens agreement, no base assault.

Ginkapo launches a show of Force on Corfai.

When the Rebels liberate Crash's Drift, they will earn one campaign point. On the off chance Vader should win he can take home a point too.

The Battle of Crash's Drift is starting now! (well after we have assembled fleets...)

Rieekan defends against the Show of Force.

Ackbar moves on Polanis.

And Jerrod intercepts.

No spies for you then.

One token each for Ackbar and Rieekan.

Show of Force is worth 0 points, whomever wins.

Polanis is 1 I think.

It will be written in the history of the empire's fall that the empire suffered terribly at Crash's Drift when Mon Mothma herself led there the first assault of the rebel alliance!

Well, it will be written like that. I told you, guys. And no word of a petty raid!

Mon Mothma vs. Vader 400 - 98 (Hyperspace Assault)

The game was decided when I had a lucky roll at the beginning of round 4 with one of my TRC90 against Vader's limping ISD. Afterwards the remaining imperial ships retreated to hyperspace.

Scarred rebel units:

- 1 TRC90 (stupidly flown off the map - this is the first time this happened to me in this game; really annoying)

- 2 yt2400

- 1 VCX-100

Scarred imperial units:

- Vader's ISD 2

- Howlrunner

- Mithel

- 4 1 Tie Interceptors

Veteran rebel units:

- 1 TRC90

Veteran imperial units:

- Mauler Mithel

Logfile will come later.

correcting mistakes and including veteran status

Did the imperial squads die?

it was just 1 x tie interceptor? we ended with the interceptors ganking up/killing the vcx-100 (after hyperspace retreat, i thought surviving squads dont get scarred?) veterans , if i am not mistaken, are mithel and the cr90.

They are not scarred if the capital ships retreat?

They are not.

Again, Dras, thx! Corrected it.

'Still dancing, but not as wild as before ;-)

Yeah. Record veterans too.

You are right, those two.

I didn't see it posted here, but I believe that the Show of Force is scheduled for 7pm GMT tomorrow.

You can be pretty confident about you trashing Ozzel. As I can tell you from yesterday ,the dice are heavily biased in our favour. That evens out even stupidities like flying off the map. Wait...does this mean... that the Force is with us ? ;)

Talking about luck: Here is the logfile of yesterday's battle.

It starts in the middle of round 2. Not much has happened up to that point, apart from the most left kitten going even further to the left of the board and me navigating in response my most left CR90 hard to the right (initially it was oriented straight at my enemies).

As I watched the replay, I could not help but to notice that both my kills (the Tie Interceptor and the Vader ISD) were results of hot dice.

Thanks to Kikaze for this game. It was fun and a lot of adrenaline for me!

Ackbar vs Jerry on tomorrow at 0800 my time (0700 GMT).

Admiral Ozzel has a spynet.

I am out of practice. Took me ages to figure out who could use it more. It was obvious really.

OC Ozzel. Duh.

Everything is SO predictable.

Especially setup.

I really wish the various specials were more useful. As is only yards and spynets are relevant.

the problem is that even if normal objectives get used, skilled spacers doesnt help that much, and diplomats is... WOW so bad. but in a way these were necessities to reduce the campaign's snowballing nature(i.e. not let a winning side have huge ingame advantages).

Yeah. Picking planets annoyed me as there was no choice for me or you

We might have gone for Corfai, since spacers are 99% certain to be useless to rebels r1. But Duro has such pleasant natives.

I find the lack of diversity disturbing.

Corfai report

Imperial

Scarred - ISD I, Glad II, Tie Fighter, Tie Fighter, Phantom

Veterans - Other ISD I

Rebels

Scarred - Pelta, BCC flotilla, Rieekan flotilla, Wedge

Veterans - Luke and Norra

Imperials killed both stations for 80 resources, on the last turn.... thanks to the third effort of a phantom to do 1 pt of damage and an ISD double arc on the other to get at least 7.

And Imps take the game for an extra 40 resources.

Let it be known that the dice were with Luke today, but the will of the galaxy was not
