I can confirm this.

Battle for Centerpoint has concluded with a narrow win for Rieekan.

No nonsense, no tricks in this battle. We played Independent Station and I set up with my whole fleet speed 1 in a corner making him run his fleet over the station and obstacles to reach me. He deployed in a tight pincer sending 1 Arq left and 2 Arq's right with the ISD and Gozanti coming right down the middle. All were speed 3 and hard charging. There was never a moments thought that this wouldn't be a bloody affair.

A 5 squadron alpha from his ISD courtesy of a Vet token supplied Squadron token killed Jan turn 2 and laid on some serious pain to my Bomber Command flotilla that was then killed by the ISD. It turned toward my escape route lining it up on my Pelta and Yavaris which were running for their lives.

Luke and the MC30 killed the left hand Arquitens giving my fleet an escape route which they all beat for hard. The Pelta didn't make it and died turn 3. Rieekans flotilla went down to one of the right hand Arquitens next in turn 4, and being scarred it joins the great dry dock in the sky. All this time I am splitting my squadrons between slowly removing his squadrons from the board and bombing the ISD when able.

Turn 5 the ISD was right on the heels of Yavaris, and had 4 hull remaining. Yavaris had the ISD rear/side double arc'd but would die if it stayed in play for one more turn with the ISD so close so I almost hyperspaced it, but then we would lose the battle, so I risked it and went for the kill. I only had 2 bombers (which I had to move so no double tap) and Yavaris in range, and it came down to the very last dice, but Norra sank it.

From there we each traded a few more squadron kills but the game was essentially over.

An arquittens like you said destroyed a flotilla and was not the flank that got destroyed. Incidentaly same that destroyed the station. Well deserved veteran . Otherwise it was an exciting tense game even during spynet usage when the redeployment of the soon to be veteran arq forced the redeploy of yavaris. Ggwp.

i know it is irrelevant, but i was super demoralized by the state of armada in my local community, and today i read one store finaly decided to do something to support the game. we'll have our first regionals in a few weeks. any guys wanna help a mate practice?

Thank you all for helping me improve in armada. Our first Regionals here just got done (still in the store); it was touch and go in a match, but i got 3-0. There was another guy with 3-0 but because my other two victories were massive, i got first i had an awesome time, wilk write report in another thread, but just wanted to express thanks for helping me improve.

Dude kikaze that is awesome! I was going to say last time we played that you did awesome, huge improvement from that last time we played. You are a scary opponent and i am so happy you got results on the table in a tournament as well.

No hurry, Matt. To be honest, I have a lot to do at the moment as well (an Excursion I lead starts next week and final steps need to be done). I am quite happy to postpone this one a bit. I am sorry to all the others, but I firmly want to conclude this campaign and I hope the others are fine, if it takes some more weeks until we can continue. Again I am sorry for that.
