Your rationale for my B-team name is much better than my own. I called it "Death Throes of the Republic" because it's principally a Royal Guard list, which seems decidedly anti-republican.

Ha! Well, I kind of liked it, too. Glad you approve. Thanks for submitting! I think it's really good. It gets me thinking about what can be used these days. It seems that jousting is actually back again. I'm thinking that B-wings and maybe even Misthunters aren't so bad these days.

Re: The Jango part. In the Blu-Ray edits, they added fire spurting out of his jet pack right before his head gets sliced off. They tried to show that he was going to fly out of there but didn't realize his jet pack got damaged when he was run over by the Reek. Instead of flying up, he stayed grounded and was taken out by Windu.

Glad to hear that Bowser's Castle had such a lasting impression on your mission design, our group has a tendency to "look at it crooked" most of the time (who else would play HotAC with a mixed squadron of all three factions, with 10 players, and a large base ship, and a system for turning a title card into a mod)

As a fellow fan of the HWK290 i may just have to through a B-team together

Aurora is clearly the best squad builder!

Thanks for the review :)

Nice little mix in that one. Liked the builder review section.

On 3d terrain, my solution for the Core set's asteroids:

tBHIT8o.jpg

Made from insulation foam, thus light-weight and easily to cut/shape. On clear acrylic rods and bases (gives the weight, close to ground) sawed to the original asteroid size and shape. Probably not tournament legal as it is not lasercut. The rods are just stuck into the resp. base, easily to be removed, while the base stays on the play area. So no problem with overlapping.

A more expensive solution would be to have two 3mm round magnets under rod respectively on the base.

Fun TIE Interceptor list: 5x Alpha Squadron pilots w/ Autothrusters. Hits haaaaarrrd, blocks well.

Oh, and want some casual rules for X-wing with altitude and ground combat? Check out SWXW: Ground Assault at the link. There's some other casual-type stuff at the page you might want to check out, too.

I tried this one back in the day and had a really hard time with it. I gave it up when it lost in the 5th round of the game. I had 3 of them die to Direct Hits in 2 rounds.

Want a fun Phoenix squadron list? It's hilarious when it works, and still weirdly enjoyable when it doesn't... Which is roughly half the time in my experience.

Chopper (40) - With Hera crew and an autoblaster turret

3x Prototype A-wings (20) - with Proton Rockets and Guidance Chips.

Surprisingly effective against large based ships! The A-wings scream in from different vectors and focus pretty much every round. Try for blocks while setting up the other two for follow up shots or cutting off potential turns. Chopper just flies around trying to create chaos. I like lists that totally mess with my opponent's more logic based tactics. Randomness seems to drive them nuts.
