I've looked at your other videos as well, this is so cool

How are/will you be displaying unit attributes (shields & damage, firing arcs/batteries)?

Thanks. I experimented with lots of UI options as I went, so its not very consistent.

Right now, current shields and damage are available by voice command: "Status report", with a voice response. Not sure that made it into any of the videos I put up. Otherwise I envisioned putting damage tracking under, or replacing, the ship cards (you can see on the edges on the play space). Also for shields, though its a little hard to see in the video, there are concentric circles on a shield face that shows the current strength.

Firing arcs are calculated automatically. When a ship is selected it checks all its firing arcs and possible targets, then highlights the first available target. Voice command "Next target" will select the next ship shield or squadrons / battery combination so you can cycle through all the available targeting possibilities.

I'm new to the forum, which is the main page?

Not available for download I'm afraid. A lot of IP issues there that I want to be considerate of. Though I would love to see FFG go further with things like this.

Interesting take, now how do you factor in the other two sides from a 2d to a 3d game, top and bottom, also the firing arcs as well. Have the lines become planes? I assume roll and pitch values are the same as the yaw values.

@genereddick

Any chance this can/will be implemented in Windows Mixed Reality?
