Zeta gives them the evade they need for Juke for the game. Only using them when it would save them from a killing shot.

Juke and Sensor Jammer make a pretty awesome combo especially on these guys attacking early and often. Just not sure about going all in on them with LWF also for so many points into both SFs. So ironically, taking the LWFs off makes them less heavy point-wise.

There's also a chance someone's running Palob and just ruins my day. Are there any other ships or upgrades that can pull the evade or make me spend it? I don't recall.

I don't personally think juke is a worthwhile investment for SF's. I personally suggest just going with FCS, lwf, and your choice of ept. Backdraft loves VI. Quickdraw is able to take just about anything, I like draw their fire a lot. If your squad has points they both appreciate pattern analyzers. Take your pick of third ship, I like countess ryad or Omega Leader (if I want all FO).

My personal contribution to the over-equiped SF:

Put on them sensor jammer, lightweight frame and sensor cluster. Now you have sensor cluster match them with a focus giver instead of an evade giver.

But I like your idea.

40 point SF is too heavy. I run them a bit cheaper. LWF, FCS, PA on QD (less necessary on BD), VI BD, VI or Crackshot QD (shooting at 11 with FCS for revenge shots is a great deterrent). Then fill with OL with your choice mod to get full FO theme.

The biggest reason not to take juke and com relay is the sf can't take an evade

i get how they will be getting the evade. It's just not a good use of 5 points in my opinion

All good suggestions. I have seen some people liking sensor cluster as well. That might be better (and certainly cheaper) than this route. Usually that gets paired with Expertise so the focus can basically be used as an evade every turn. It just eliminates the Juke + Sensor Jammer synergy. But maybe two Sensor Jammers is overkill and I should maybe go FCS on BD. And just defend up QD so that I can try to get his ability off more than once.

I know it looks like 5 points for the Juke and Comm Relay for the Evade but it is basically the same as Juke on anything else 3 points for a Hull Upgrade essentially. Because that evade is going to stay for the game until it needs to be used to keep the ship alive. It's just the age old question of if a ship is worthy enough of the 3 point investment in a hull upgrade and I would argue that with almost 3 agility and Sensor Jammers following Juke shots that help burn Focus tokens, they might be worthy of that investment.

Unfortunately, I don't even have 2 SFs yet but I was thinking of picking up another. But even then I'd need another Striker for LWF and FO for Juke, LOL. So it gets expensive too.
