I was thinking back to my first list I played in a real tournament: Red Daggers (2x Advanced Sensor Dagger Bwings, 2x Red squadron Pilot X-wings) This list was pretty popular at the time, though some variations included Biggs and a Rookie x-wing instead of two of the Reds. Even though I "netlisted" it, I always liked it because if flew nice and had some surviveability at the time. I think I'm going to take a subtle variation to my next tournament:

2x Dagger Squadron Bwing with Collision Detector

Red Squadron Vet (T70) with R3A2, Trick Shot, Integrated Astromech

Red Squadron Pilot (T65) with R2D6, Trick Shot, Integrated Astromech

I'm hoping to get to 2-2 with this list, which is the same performance I did in my first tournament. So if you took your first tournament list and updated it a little bit for the current scene, what would you change?

I went 1-2 with this at my first tournament. One of my losses was a Modified Win, and it pushed me in the rankings above another player that beat me. I took 7th out of 14.

First list i've come across that i created.

now i know how to fly and to keep the phantom docked i'd drop Jan ors and Dorsal Turret from the phantom and put Jan and TLT on the ghost instead. also swap out R2 for r4d6 and put IA on biggs. could even drop Jan for Lando and EI on the ghost (for funsies)

However i now like bombs too much so sabine powered K wings are my go to list

My first tournament list was:

Rexler Brath, VI, HLC = 45

Backstabber = 16

3 Obsidian Squadron Pilots = 39

In the modern meta, I'd drop HLC for Ion Cannon and the TIE/D title, upgrade VI to something else , and rework the TIE Fighters with the extra points.

Rex, Ion Cannon, Lone Wolf = 42

Mauler Mithel, Adaptability = 17

Scourge, Adaptability = 17

Academy Pilot ×2 = 24

I don't hate that.

dash rendar + HLC + adaptability

flight of the freighters before their modifications

if i changed anything...I'd change adaptability for trick shot (mostly for thematics because they both seem like they'd go "watch this!" And open fire on an interceptor hiding comfortably behind asteroids)

HotCoP, basically. My first tourney list was RAC/Vader/Gunner/VI/Engine and Whisper/VI/FCS/ACD/Intel IIRC. I'd put Hotshot Copilot in there somewhere but no other significant changes I don't think.

Apart from getting better at playing it.

Went 1-2. Third game was really close vs Torkil w/ TLT + Dengar, Guri, and a YV, pre party bus. Came down to Chewie on 2 hull vs Torkil on 1 hull and he dropped me to PS0 and got the kill.

Maybe change a little bit. Drop Luke to Katarn, gets me Engines. Downgrade Chopper to Lothal, and I can get some TLT action:

Hah. My first tourney list...

• 2 Gold Sqdn with Ion Turrets and BTL titles.
• 2 Blues with Ion Cannons

Can't recall what I did with the leftover points at this time. It lacked the firepower to actually win me games. I had talked a friend into joining me at this first tournament, he took Chewie/Dash or Leebo. He took first in the tournament and has never gone to another one. I lost every game I played but the one I faced him - walked the Falcon off the table at a leisurely pace. He swooped in with the YT2400 trying to save his ship only to realize he wasn't going to manage it too late, got the 2400 tagged by ions and got walked to the edge before running out of health just before the fateful ion straight off the board.

Not sure I'd go back to this. Ever. Doesn't have enough tools to deal with all comers, and made for very long games. After months of flying it I discovered I really disliked how slow the B-wing moved and preferred the Y-Wings dials. The B-Wings with ion cannons seems a bad investment now, but I would certainly fly the Y-Wings with ions again, particularly with R3A2 "Stressbot" plugged in.
