Right i forgot that new BP says "you cannot perform attacks". And old DD is way more painfull on 2xTieD+Bomber list...(Munitions failure!!!! And injured pilot would also not be nice especially on Vessery with Score - it does not shut down condition :D )

You can make a pretty solid 'go ahead and blind me' list using the old deck and Ds to clear the blind, but it will take some testing to see whether it works out in the new meta - basically, 3 Deltas with tractor/ion/ion. Decent chunk of HP, lots of greens, but not terribly reliable damage - except, 6 shots a round if you can keep guns on target is a lot of room to reduce variance, and you're mostly happy to stick at r3 and snipe.

The lack of reliable mods is what would bother me here, just a focus to both defend and attack twice does not sound too promising - power of 2xDs+Scimitar is the trick that you have heavy mods on all your shots (Score+ability on Vess, TL(+Focus if need) on Ryad, TL(+Focus if need) on Scimitar) while hopefully keeping focus for defence.

It worked for me like charm last regio and another guy with the same list did 5-0 with 1000(!!!!!) Mov - so its not just "it looks good".

But we are straying from the topic i guess :)

Just a touch.

My intention was something that counterplays Kylo crew specifically more than anything else.

In case anybody's not clear:

TIE/D allows you to perform a primary weapon attack after performing a cannon attack.

The wording on the original Core Set's Blinded Pilot (which has you make your next attack, but roll zero dice) would allow a TIE/D to still get their primary weapon attack. Although the original Core Set's Damage Deck also includes Injured Pilot, which is the one that negates your pilot ability, so Vessery especially doesn't like that. It also has the crit that makes you discard a secondary weapon (your cannon), although that's a ship crit, so you'd have to get it the normal way, as opposed to being Shown it by the Dark Side.

The wording on the new Core Set's Blinded Pilot (which has you skip your next attack) would not allow a TIE/D to attack, because not attacking with a cannon is not the same as attacking with a cannon.

So: if you're planning to use TIE/D as a way around ISYTDS, be aware that you'll have to use the old Damage Deck, and carefully consider the other implications of that change.
