Ghost: Deploying Attack Shuttle and attacking

By irishthump, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Guys,

Just so I have this clear:

If the Phantom is deployed as a result of the Ghost being destroyed it cannot attack that round.

If it deploys the Phantom as normal after a manoeuvre it may attack. (Providing it hasn't overlapped the target ship or an asteroid).

Correct.

Also correct.

Thank you sir!

Don't forget that docked ships forced to deploy by their carrier's destruction come into play with one face down damage card. (With the specific exception of the Nashtah Pup , because its deploy condition overrides the basic rule.)

I didn't know that you could deploy the shuttle upon the ghost being destroyed, i thought it went down with the ship

The rules for deploying ships from destroyed carriers are covered in the insert that comes with the Ghost, which unfortunately is not readily available online. For some reason though these rules have not been added to the FAQ or RR which are available. So confusion about what happens to the shuttle when the Ghost is destroyed is common.

That's good to know I still have info that came with ship. I guess I'll have to read a little closer
