The first 4 expansion packs are at the printer. That is the Calvary, archers and both command packs. The exansions from the second article are in development all of this as of 3/10/2017. I wonder if this means these will be waves one and two after all.

Why? It's four expansions then six, rather than ten at once. And four expansions per wave is about right when there are four factions.

I think it's going to be like some of the xwing waves, where the release is staggered about a month or two apart

If they space them out that would be better from a wallet perspective.

I don't even trust FFG's development time line like that. LCGs are notoriously inaccurate. It's a pretty much known fact that when the first pack of a LCG cycle is being shipped the rest of them are already in FFGs warehouse.
I believe all of the currently announced expansions will be in FFG's warehouse at the same time and will have a staggered release to not flood the market yet controlled to prevent the staleness of a limited model count.
