When are Imperials going to get Regen?

Never.

It's not because of cannon, for if it was, the Empire would have every weapon and every defense in spades.

It's simple, it's game mechanics. Mechanics > Cannon

The Imps keep winning Worlds over and over.....that's why.

:huh:I'm guessing this is a joke.

You forgot to use this at the end to let everyone know you are not serious:P

2016 was Rebels vs Scum, Scum won

2015 was Rebels vs Rebels

2014 was Rebels vs Empire, Rebels won

2013 was Rebels vs Empire, Rebels won

Heh, if only that were true.

It's kind of disingenuous to leave off the first world championship. Sure, Imperials haven't won since then, but you make it look like they've never won.

I will say, though, that I find it somewhat hilarious that my first exposure to the Arc Caster was from the Dark Trooper -- an Imperial class -- in Battlefront II. To now see the Arc Caster given to every faction except Imperials is rather strange, from a thematic standpoint.

Only the Rebels and Scum are fanatically (stupid?) enough to try and mod a handweapon(!) onto a hardpoint on a spacefighter.

I guess he didn't get the memo.

I was hoping the Arc Caster would be something I would want to put on TIE/D Maarek. No dice sadly...

And yeah, I can understand faction specific upgrades. But upgrades that are "any faction except this one" are kind of a kick to the balls.

Especially when it is the faction that has the lowest number of upgrades available.

They wanted the mod to be availiable to all HWKs, that is the only reason why it is also allowed for Rebels.

No idea about the cannon, but TIE/d does sound a bit strong, as others noted.

The cannon's basically useless for Rebels anyway. B-Wings already have 3 dice, YT-2400s are too expensive to use it on.

yeah which is why I didn't care too much about the Arc caster.

But regen that is cheaper than a shield upgrade and discrimination against Imperials that is what gets me.

We demand equal rights for Imperial Players!

Seems to me that Palp is a form of regen, having the ability to negate one damage each round, on any ship.

When are Scum/Rebels going to get a crew that just shoves crits for MISSING?

When are Scum/Rebels going to get a 3 AGI small based ship worth a darn (no, Fenn ain't it)?

Perhaps you would like to discuss the Coordinate action?

I call Shenanigans on the Arc Caster!

Empire INVENTED the Arc Caster, and were the only ones to ever use it!!

Even the Star Wars Wikia http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/ARC_caster

Has the affiliation "GALACTIC EMPIRE"...

Didn't the Millenium Falcon end up with an Arc Caster for a couple of issues in the Marvel Star Wars comics in the 80's?

Never mind, it was the lightning gun in Dark Empire II, so wrong on both counts. You can understand my confusion

Did someone besides me actually mention the original SW comics run?

E-Wing and Fang

Are you trying to say neither of those ships are worth using?

Regen and Prevention are not the same thing

If you're about to have your 5 Fingers cut off, and I tell you will then regen 1 Finger each day. You will feel a lot better than if I say... wait wait, I can prevent 1 finger from being cut off.

Are we still talking about Palpatine? Has someone been playing him against you without following the "Once per Round" Limitation or something?

Would you prefer we ban Omega Leader, who is almost certainly responsible for the faction restriction?

S&V will never get a 4 attack die ship and I blame the Empire. :P

loll, damage prevention is not regen. Palp can still be overwelmed by more red dice showing hits than green dice being rolled. The closest thing Imperials have to regen aka damage recovery is damage mitigation like Jerjorred and Reinforced deflectors. The difference is huge, UHYUGHE I TELL YOU.

Don't count your chickens before they come to roost. Red Dice power creep is in and it is only a matter of time before they get a ship with 4 firepower for their primary weapon. Which ship is a good question but it is possible.

Not until it is confirmed on vassal that such a modification would make it broken. Omega Leader is merely a TIE FO. Don't you want to see them back instead of Defenders? R2-D2 is not breaking Corran Horn and Corran horn has 1 more hit that FOs. Oh you want to ionize yourself good we know where to line up our firing arcs for you 1 shield regen.

Jerjerrod isn't even Damage Mitigation. His effect essentially costs points to use each time you use it; and doesn't even discard the damage. It just flips it face down! Literally R5 Astromech does a way better job, since it only costs a single point and can be spammed forever.

The closest we have is Determination...

Determination is all factions, and sure Moff Jerjerod isn't damage mitigation as all he does is discard an upgrade to prevent resolving of an affect. Still being able to turn over a direct or explosion without having to resolve it does reduce the damage so he is a weaker form of mitigation but still can be used to mitigate damage for large imperial ships.

Given how divisive regeneration effects are in this game, are you surprised FFG was conservative?

By giving more regeneration to all factions except for the one faction that doesn't have any? It is divisive because it is given to all but one, and we can just say thanks to the new FAQ that FFG has thrown the conservative approach out the window.

Plus this one completely throws Shield upgrade in the trash can. Shield upgrade IMHO is only worth 4 points when taking a ship from 1 shield to 2 shields as the difference between that is bigger than from 0 to 1 and 2+. But now this makes 1 regenerative shield so much better. Penalty, you ionize yourself. Okay I don't think it will be that good on a scyk. But a Star Viper oh yeah.
