Syckening state of previews.

"ONLY TWO IN THE WAVE?! ARMADA IS DEAD!"

Yes. Yes it was.

It was the Dark Times. The Times of AdmiralNelson.

Further exacerbated that we basically go very little news and the LONG delay before Wave 4 was Announced... Then the Further Delay before they put them out together, after the Design Competition.

Good times.

I remember being cautiously optimistic.

And then Wave Thor was 4 ships after all.

Yes!

If I recall, wasn't this the beginning of the famous meltdown?

A long long time ago,

I can still remember how that slideshow used to make me sigh,

and I knew if I had a my chance,

that I could rival Nelson's rants

and they'd be super angry, for a while~

But GAMA came and made me shiver,

the unpainted flotes that it delivered,

bad news on my internet

I couldn't take one more step

and I'm not ashamed to say I cried,

the day-

Aramda died~

We were screaming~

f*ck this GR75

its only got three hull but scatter keeps it alive

and good ole boys got on the forums and cried

this is the day the game died, this is the day the game died

If I recall correctly, attendees uploaded photos of the slides at the GAMA show, and then later that same day FFG confirmed it all with an announcement on the website. Or am I thinking of the time that the Liberty got spoiled on someone's phone camera, and before we could finish debating whether it had been Photoshopped FFG confirmed it.

I uploaded Screencaps of the Stream, as indicated above.

We got an announcement shortly after.

The Liberty + Interdictor were Spoiled vastly later, by a Distributor (or Retailer) who put up their Advertisement-Worthy Images of Boxart - which is why there was the debate on wether they were Photoshopped and all - and FFG reacted quickly to then put an Article up on them the same day.

Somewhere deep down, I'm ok with the slow launches. My wallet is focused on so many other things than models for 2017.

That being said, I do like the forums post announcement and prior to the spoilers. More fun conversations and positive attitudes.

Super Star Destroyer...

And a photo of Nelson getting smacked in the bum with it.

But can you legally Dress someone up as a "Sheeple" before they do it, though?

Everything is legal in international waters

Only if you're on a ship that's not flying a Flag...

And that Itself is Illegal anywhere else!

Wokka wokka wokka!

I did just spend a good 20 minutes reading about the International Law of the Sea, and what is and is not legal outside of a Nation's Exclusive Economic Zone.

I can live with this :D

The game needs to pick up a lot of audience before it gets the same parade as X-Wing and IA gets. Even X-Wing was a slow (-ish) ramp up, and I'd almost say the same of IA given you have to trace its roots through the 'Descent' series. I've seen a LOT more Armada played in the local areas since the CC campaign has come out, so...who knows, maybe we will see a tide change, here. (Although I somewhat doubt it - I think the new dice game will have stolen practically all our thunder...I'd be half surprised if it hasn't already pulled ahead of X-Wing)

ANYWAY, for this particular event, you're probably right. I'm expecting a slide with a Hammerhead Corvette and Imperial Light Cruiser, and...moving on.

There is only one reply to stuff related to legality:

I will make it legal.

Next week the hype train goes into overdrive!

I'm execting an MC-75 and Hammerhead, and a Quasar and (X), where X is undetermined. I think it COULD be a revamped ISD, but it could also be a Venator, Since even in Rebels Tarkin has a Venator model hanging up in his office.

But we'll see... might be another partial spoil. Either way, ANYTHING will be fine. I'm actually more excited about new upgrades than ship models.... I must really love this game.

Remembering the wave 3 armada meltdown, I find it amusing to note that 30-50% of any of the ships I see nowadays are those two expansions.

As for wave 6: Fully expecting hammerheads for the rebellion and the quasar for imperials, but with an outside hope of the episode 7 star destroyer, as the design is really starting to grow on me. it looks so.... Sith.

I'm half expecting a First Order SD/MC75 wave, myself.

First order Star Destroyer probably won't come up until after Episode 8 ships are made public. Episode 8 is going to need to have LOTS of large captial ships for both sides, because we're almost certainly going to see the Eclipse, so you'll need some regular capital ships to give it some frame of reference.

Fantastic use of eye-rhymes! As a lit student, I really appreciate it :)

TBH the LAST THING the rebels need is a cheap carrier that can carry double the fighters of a GR75, but sit at around...45 to 50 points. The Quasar honestly needs to be an Imperial ship that can sit back and allow the empire to push a cheap tie ball into the x-wing/y-wing swarm and put a dent into it.

I literally can come up with a multirole rebel fighter build that can punch WELL above it's weight with little effort...the empire...not so much.

The MC75 is gonna be hull 7, shields 4/3/3....dice like the assault frigate MK 2 A with the ability to push fighters....the cheaper mon cal cruiser we all want, like an assault frigate.

Ok FFG. You're off my poop list.
