I can't see myself flying like that like... um... ever? If the Arc Caster had to target another "enemy" ship then things would be different, but as it stands, she would suffer hull damage from her own attack / ability.

I was going to say, "EPIC play!" ...

...but then you said it anyway. :) The hit and run tactics are excellent when you have a 6'x3' area to run and regroup. So good! My only problem is that I don't own any M3-A interceptors, and I really want to buy some more TIE strikers since I'm primarily an Imperial player. But these look so fun!

Well said! I mean, the whole post was basically what I was screaming in my head the entire time I read this topic, but the quoted text is solid gold.

IG-B will like the Arc Caster!

Tractor Beams in the same squad as the Arc Caster is AWESOME! You pull somebody into range 1 so that they take the damage instead of your Arc Caster ship.

Genesis Red with Juke! He can TL and grab your Evade token to use against you! Hysterical! He still has TL for modification and the Evade for his own defense.

Laetin with shield regen is not bad, either. Yes, he doesn't have an EPT. Yes, we wish he did. Still, for every miss, you get an Evade token. If you get hit (and are still alive) you can regen that shield!

I've been playing different kind of mindlinked lists with scyks half a year now and its a teamwork that keeps them alive. Focus+evade and four health is suprisingly resilient. Also, if his ability grands you a single focus, whole squad profits :)

Just realized I'm going to have to buy two of these to fly Genesis Red and Sunny in the same squad...

Looks like I'll be playing a lot of epic to get my money's worth!

I just posted in another thread, but Quinn with Ion Pulse Missile will be hated by a lot of big ships. Hit the ship with Ion Pulse missile and then ionize yourself don't shoot that round. Keep the big ship in your firing arc and you can just rinse and repeat this process.

No you won't. The card fan in the announcement shows four small ship tokens. If previous patterns carry through into this, each unique pilot will have their own small ship token. Sunny and Inaldra will probably have Cartel Spacers as their alternate pilots, and the other two will have Tansarii Point Veterans.

Ruthlessness is 3 pts and you can't turn it off. Arc Caster is 2 pts and you can choose when to fire it.

I am starting to really like the idea of Quinn with prockets and maybe fearlessness.

You're only going to be able to fire that IPM every other round though. The rounds that you are both ionized and large ship with a turret or some sort of extra arc will be shooting at you while you are unable to return fire.

I do think that IPM on Quinn will be a solid choice though that brings a lot of control to a squad.

Boy did imperial players just got the smackdown from FFG this week!

Getting your upgrades and abilities mixed up.

Quinn takes a weapons disabled token at the start of combat to get his missile back. The shield gen is take an ion at the end phase.

There will be a gap where the large ship isnt being hit by Quinn's missile.

I would do a discarding cannon but for the B-wing prototype give it a new ship not a mod, and make the cannon restricted to B-wing prototype only.

Yes, enemy turreted ships will be hateful. Going with Mindlink for the Focus and Evade action that turn can help, though.

Yes....i did get them mixed up and just realized that a couple of minutes ago. I figured someone would correct me. You take the no shooting token....not Ionized. Still.....

Quinn Jast w/ Ion Pulse Missile, Pulse Ray Shield and Attanni Mindlink.

After you fire the shot and if you are damaged, you can do the Pulse Ray shield to get the shield back. Get a free Focus from someone else. Then, you do an Evade action. So, while you wait, you just did shield regen and got a Focus and Evade. Not bad at all.

So. I don't think this really fixes Starvipers. =(. Not as a mod. ugh.

Might not fix them, but that's not a bad new option for them. I mean, at least now you have a choice between something and Auto-Includes.


I think that Inaldra is actually not too badly designed, now that I think about it: mindlink, heavy, HLC, shield regen:

- You move, get a focus from someone and do an evade action, so right off the bat, you are hard to hit.

- If the enemy ignores you or fails to damage your shield, you can spend your shield to get the equivalent of a target lock.

- Thanks to her low PS rating, she'll often get to attack "after" everyone, which means that the decision will be far less risky.

- Regen the shield and you're set for next round (but ionised)

So all in all, she's not half bad!

What's the source for this? Did they ever say the name in Star Wars Galaxies? I only played it for 1 week, but loved every minute of flying the Scyk!
