Is there any way to go offensive on them, instead of going the "Spacetug" route?

With the given pilots, the slow dial, the 2 attack dice, it's never going to be an aggressive ship. Maybe Sarco. Maybe. But you're generally going to be better off flying a G1-A if you want an aggressive brick in Scum.

You could always use Zuckess or 4-lol to push damage through. Rage + Inspiring recruit. Weapons guidance and recon spec
But I think that it's like trying to be aggressive with a TIE Bomber. It's just...not really a thing. I guess that you could fly them as offensive ships, instead of support ships by giving them a better toolkit (tactician, BMST maybe) but that still leaves them as a less traditionally aggressive ship, and more of a debuff squad. Weapons guidance and recon spec is a good catch, but I still think it won't be much good on two dice. Same issue with rage and Inspiring Recruit, the most you're getting is still two hits. Zuckuss and 4-lom have more potential, but leave your ship either chained to green maneuvers, or ionized, and probably out of the fight for a bit.
I guess I may be looking at it the wrong way. A friend of mine did mention flying four of them, all with BMST, Tactician, and Thermal Dets and just going to town on them as soon as they were stressed. But, I'd still prefer to just build a similar thing with the G1-A.
