Slipped my mind over the weekend to send the PM and sign up for this. If you have another odd number, I'd like to sneak in if someone else is also late. If not, no biggie. I'd be a US Rebel player, playing either Madine or Ackbar.

If I didn't have new little one arriving in a few days I'd rock a Garm fleet in this.

This sounds like just the thing to get me up to speed on Vassal.... and play against other people...

This just in!

Due to the large number of players entering the Freshman Spring 2017 I'll be splitting the event into two.

Basically I was hoping for 8+ players, but now fast approaching 30...

So to make things easier for everyone, we'll have one NA (and Australia) and one Euro tournament. 3 rounds Swiss, entirely separate from one another.

That should take away much of the scheduling pressure. This is about learning and building community, so I think it's a wise move.

If you would object/provide feedback on this, do it ASAP, or it will become reality come morning.

Then, after we're done, I'll run a new 3 rounds Swiss Tourney.

The top 4 from each group will be qualified (but are oc free to decline if they can't or won't participate).

In addition there will be 4 Wild Card entries:

• Admiral Congeniality (chosen by popular vote)
• Admiral Creativitality (player with the most creative list - TO choice)
• Admiral Crushability (player with highest VP score - not MoV - in any game)
• Admiral Chanceability (player chosen at random)

@moodswing5537 has taken up the challenge and is dropping Ackbar in favor of Garm. EVERY admiral is now represented. Woot!!!

Might be able to judge awards as I suspect me snd you may see a lot of the European games (Its Ginks Brits* vs GKs Continentals), and CNinj, JJ, PT and Truth may see a fair few of the NA games.
