Whoa... I 'm a super noob at Vassal.
Can I sign up?
Can I just be called "Q" ---> no idea what my callsign is nowadays with the forum changes...
Morat, Q and Tokra. You may be good on a tabletop, vassal is a different beast. On there you suck.
How much of Armada is about eyeing in? Yeah exactly
Am hoping to be able to give this a go, never played vassal. Timing issues may be difficult, would you consider more than one pool based on time zone if there is enough interest?

Is this that "smack talk" the American fellows keep mentioning? How quaint... ;-)
Alright zero Vassal game time, putting my hat in the ring as well!

That would be a Brit trying to play at American smack talk.
Because he can't play at American games. HHHOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo yeah okay I'm not much for it either...
I'm interested. Depends on timing and if I can learn vassal before it starts.
count me in.
Out of curiosity, am I eligible to participate or am I too experienced?

Do you feel like a vassal PRO? If you don't, feel free to join!

Lol definitely not a pro, I have to manually set up my fleet every game because I don't know the trick used for doing it in advance and make it save right. The actual in-game stuff feels pretty straightforward though.
Deadline to register has been set to Sunday 19th (1 week hence).
You must have submitted your list to me (forum PM or Facebook PM) by the end of that day to have actually registered.
Fleets are standard max 400 pts, 1 admiral, max 134 squads, 1 objectives of each type. You play this fleet for all 3 matches, and cannot make any changes, objectives included.
Edited by Green KnightI haven't had time to update the list, but the number of interested parties have exceeded 20, which is extremely good!
Thanks for organising this, GK. I'll send my details over once they're finalised.
Anyone interested in doing this but worried about using Vassal don't be. I'm not sure if the program used to be harder to use but the current release is a joy to use, for someone that's getting old and struggles with new things I've not found it to hard to pick up and use with a little guidance from Gink and others. I even enjoyed a pick up game yesterday even if I did lose down to some bad driving and forgetting upgrades.
On closing anyone thinking about Vassal DO IT!!!!!!

It used to be more difficult to use. I spent a lot of effort importing useability.
@Green Knight Will there be a time limit of each game like in a normal tournament or are we just playing each game to 6 rounds as I'm not very fast with Vassal yet...

No time limt. We never use time on vassal.
Have a question
I play lots on FUMBBL (java Blood Bowl)
Is there an option to drop during game and finish it later.
Why I ask? Sometimes some connection failure happend. What happend at that moment when you play on vassal.
On Fummbl you have option to return to the game and finish it. Is it possible on Vasal?

Yes, you can save the game at any time.
Also, if the connection drops, you can still save - or try to reconnect - the game won't be lost.
A buddy of mine gave me a crash course on playing Armada on Vassal so I think I should be set to give this a go too. Now I just have to get a list together.
When submitting your fleet, please also include your location (or just the timezone). That will make matching you with a mentor/tutor/buddy easier, and will also help with the 1st round matchups.

Yes. If there are a LOT of players I might break it into two separate tourneys. More like the 1st round will have pairings withing matching timezones.
