Further Rhymer Clarification

By Haggleblast, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

I hope I am posting in the right spot I am very new at this game. Last night while playing a game I wanted to attack a ship with a squadron that due to Rhymer had range on it.

My opponent said that Rhymer has to be in range as well as the attacking squadron in order for it to work so I could not do that. Is that correct?

Your TIE Defender can attack the ISD Lipton.

Rhymer's ability requires that the attacking squadron is:

  1. friendly to Rhymer
  2. at distance 1 of Rhymer
  3. attacking an enemy ship
  4. at close-medium range of that ship

There is no requirement regarding the distance between Rhymer and the target ship.

Make sure to use the Lipton's evade tokens to force re-rolls on the Defender. You're looking for an accuracy.

Looks legit to me, my Rhymer/Jendon/Stele combo wouldn't be so hot without it.

Thank you for the replies!
