Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen

Sorry if this has come up in any of the multiple threads on FAQ 4.3.0..

But has anybody noticed how absolutely wonderfully thematic the mechanics of the new Palpatine is? :)

replaced picture with video

FFG mentions it in the article itself.

but now in video :D

Good catch!

eh, I love the post, but Palpatine's card change was an unnecessary "nerf". He IS the Emperor, after all.

TBH, I don't like any of the "nerfs". Play the game. If all things are equal, and they never started this with the Phantom, what would the game look like today? Still worried about Fat Han or Han Shoots First? Still worried about Phantoms with HotCop running around?

Please.

And don't tell me gameplay > fluff. Meh. I don't care if I lose 0 - 100; I'll fly a Han/Luke list any day, any event. Because Star Wars. I'll fly Dutch and Garven any day, because Rogue One Space Battle

And, as a kid in Rhode Island, I used to eat fluffernutter sandwiches. Double entendre? I think not. You're just a millenial.

Not sure I follow the last sentence though ;-) but I get where you are coming from. At first, I also felt "gutted" by the changes introduced in the FAQ. I mean, I understand that something was necessary to make the game more balanced, but I would have preferred a different approach (but that is a whole other story).

But then I took Palpatine for a spin last night, and I really enjoyed it. He still felt VERY powerful! And more importantly, he is no longer a "life-guard" running around saving stuff. Nooooo..he is forcing his will and getting his way, at selected critical moments, as a true Dark lord of the Sith. (So not so much the overconfidence part as stated in the article).

So from my point of view, fluff and gameplay go hand in hand on this one.

Ah, sorry. I wasn't referring specifically to you. It was the royal "you".

Hope that makes sense now. Probably should have not added that last part. Vague name calling is vague.

No worries :)
