TIE and Bombs

HI all

I only started playing and I think I understand that Bombers and Punishers are not top tier for play but anyway I'd like to try them more and learn bombs use.

Can someone help with List for such play and give some tips for it.

I have 2 Starter sets (both versions)

Defender, Imperial Veterans, Punisher, TIE SF, Interceptor, TIE, Upsilon

Also Scum ships for Upgrades.

One bomber stands out above the rest and that is Deathfire. For just 1 point more than the lowest generic bomber, he gets a great rule allowing him to drop bombs far more flexibly and easily than almost anyone else. I often run him with a pair of Defenders. They joust the enemy and lay down the hurts while Deathfire slow-rolls in firing missiles. Once the missiles are gone, he switches to bombs and makes a real nuisance of himself. If the enemy shoots at him, they are losing valuable opportunities to damage the Defenders which are very hard to push damage through on to once the enemy starts losing ships. If they ignore him, he will continue to chip away at them and gum-up their moves with Conner Nets.

I think you have most of the cards for this apart from possibly Juke. That can be picked up in the Tie/FO expansion which is worth getting anyway as it includes a Comm relay and Omega Leader who is one of the best "pocket aces" in the game.
