Not that anybody cares, but the more I think about the Essentials Pack, the more I think I'm going to forgo the core set and my original plan of getting 100-point armies for each faction. I think I'll just dive into Uthuk Y'llan straight away. Comparatively, $220 may not be much for miniatures (the cost of getting each starter faction), but it makes much more sense for me to spend all of that on my faction. It actually matches up nicely.

$25 - Essentials Pack
$60 - Uthuk Y'llan Army Expansion
$25 - Uthuk Y'llan Infantry Command Expansion
$25 - Uthuk Y'llan Berserkers Expansion
$25 - Uthuk Y'llan Flesh Rippers Expansion
$25 - Malaana Hero Expansion
$35 - Chaos Lord Expansion
$220 - TOTAL

So it would cost me the same amount of money to get each 100-point starter army as it would to go full-in on Uthuk Y'llan with one of each expansion. Would I get fewer figures? Yes. I also wouldn't be able to practice with my armies at home without a second army. Hmmm. Tough decisions ahead.

Everything for Daqan. Eventually I may pick up an elf unit via Kari.

It'd be tempting to get Uthuk as well, but I've already got a Chaos'y bad guy army for KoW and I've got far to many other gaming projects to give runewars more than one army.

I shall split 2 cores with a Daqan player and be Waiqar.

Were you going to play either faction from the core once Uthuk comes out? If the answer is no then just jump in when the faction you want comes around.
