I flew the recently nerfed Palpatine today. My list:
Upsilon-class Shuttle: Starkiller Base Pilot (30 + 10)
+ Fire Control System (2)
+ Emperor Palpatine (8)
TIE Defender: Colonel Vessery (35)
+ Veteran Instincts (1)
+ TIE/x7 (-2)
TIE/FO Fighter: "Omega Leader" (21 + 5)
+ Juke (2)
+ Comm Relay
And I've got to say that Palp is still worth the points. I guess he saved about five hit points on Omega Leader. And one or two on himself.
Sure, the timing makes it a bit trickier but when your opponent rolls 3-4 hits you know you have to use him. It's a bit trickier on offence though, if you have a TL and a focus and really need max hits should you Palp? Statistically you should get max hits without Palp. But there's no guarantee.
X7 on the other hand were mutch more affected. I still think it's good. But not great. Don't know what other 34pts ship would be better though. I lost a couple of evades due to bumping and being stressed and you can't just bum-rush the opponent any more. I have never used so many one banks before.
