SoR Event is going to be very limited...

The "facts" stance is a hard sell from the poster that has continually insisted that Destiny did not in fact sell well by virtue of selling out, but only sold out by virtue of FFG not making much.

I am referring to them not producing enough set 1, that is a fact

FFG screws up on the daily. It's bound to happen. I've played X-wing since its release and they still have yet to get their release windows right and lately their prize kit support has been wonky (last year's cluster mines, this year's oversized play mats). I think most understand your frustrations. Thing is though, you are being completely biased and coming off like a cranky two year old. They are working on making it better, they have given the closest thing to a press statement with that recent con footage that they knew they screwed up, and that they need to make good on this. If you try to base this game off how magic is done though, you already set yourself up for failure.

It sucks, the game will contiune on though, and more product will be available shortly. Now it's just a waiting game.

How am I being Biased? and how is it bad to follow a similatr game distribution model that been around for 20+ ( and EVER ccg model for that matter) years a bad thing?

Sorry but I think you misunderstand the word 'entitled'. You are entitled to your opinion, however wrong it appears to be it is still yours and no one can take that away from you.

A CCG does not have to have regular releases to be a CCG, you have random distribution in the packs already released therefore it fits the CCG moniker, again I think this is another linguistic concept you appear to be struggling with.

This is supposed to be a hobby, you know something you do for fun. You are obviously not enjoying it so I suggest you find something that you actually do enjoy.

How many ccg's have you even played because you muct be an expert.

I played plenty of ccgs run by plenty different company, players expect certain things when playing ccg's, all ccg's I know of have a competitive circuit this may just be a hobby to you but for many it's there chance to compete using there designed decks to hopefully top an event.

I do enjoy playing this game but what I don't enjoy is this overwhelming fanboy thing a lot of ppl here seem to go by, hell ffg can kill a entire family and I believe ppl here will still act like it's not there fault or a potential problem that needs to be looked at.

The facts changed, depending on the point in time you checked them. Late November not only did FFG produce enough, they produced way too much. The game seemed DOA and they just did the largest print run in company history. I am sure there were a few people getting their resumes in order as they should have. Two months later, they are ****** bags for not producing enough. Here is the only fact that matters, it is a new game, unknown demand, they put a new plan in place to meet demand. Another fact, continued whining won't change one **** thing.

The complaining worked. They are producing way more Destiny. S Prince, you won. Take you victory and go home for a few months until the next round of supply issues pop up. Then by all means come back and continue. You'll need to win again then. Save that energy for when it is needed and productive. Right now, it is a waste.

And Waaagh, I am an engineer/scientist, biotech.

I am a Quantity Surveyor.

I will be done once ppl stop labeling us as whiners, inpatient, ect when were just looking out for the success of the game, if i did not care I would not even waste my time. This is to fun a game to screw up. I do like how they finally stepping up but they still will have to earn back that trust but we will see

Expectations and entitlement are very different things, I can only assume from your attitude that you are young and as is an infliction of the internet age instant and on demand satisfaction is seen as a god given right for some.

You say that you know it's just a hobby to me then go on to describe a competitive circuit that still sits within the hobby world. I am starting to repeat myself but NO ONE in the world is playing this game professionally. It is, by its very nature, a hobby. I suggest you find one that you like because this one seems to be making you frustrated and confused.

no one is playing this game competitively? How the hell do you know, i am willing to bet there are plenty of competitive players out there and just because your casual and don't care what ffg feeds you don't mean we have to accept mediocre behavior. I am 28 and I don't need instant gratification but that has nothing to do with the subject. The subject is them screwing up the shipments of this game and failing for a long time to address it.

this game is not frustrating me anymore, it's the people of this community who never played a ccg competitively or at all keep acting like FFG did nothing wrong and they don't deserve all the hate there getting right now. I willing to bet you that if enough product was shipped and had a good tournament prize support then this game will have twice as much players then it does now. Yes they may fix it later but by that time will it already be to late. the first set is the first impression and there very important in setting up a positive relationship between customer and business.

Fix this problem everyone and stop the winning. Stop posting on this thread and let it die.

You are trying to tell a marble that it's not a bowling ball. Despite what it thinks it will never be more than that marble. If you stop adding fuel there can't be a fire.

Some will never stop whining. They have something to prove to no one.

disagreeing with ffg does not make you a whiner, we have every right to complain

But I like winning.

I have always agreed with your comments about your right to complain. In another thread I said I would defend someone's right to complain, might have been yours. I still will.

There is a difference between constructive criticism and complaining. Constructive criticism is always a positive thing. Complaining is only positive up to a point. After that point is reached it runs the risk of becoming whining. I think some on these forums don't see that repetitively complaining about the same thing over and over is perceived as whining by many people.

Many of the issues have been discussed for 2 plus months now. The complaints have been heard by FFG and they have announced their response to them. Mission accomplished, at least until we know if their solution works.

TLDR: In summary, it's not the right to complain that's in question, it's the wisdom of beating a dead horse.

this is a discussion board, it's the nature of them to repeat past discussions.

I'm thrilled, I just found out that my FLGS did indeed get a pre-release kit. They ordered it through all of their distributors and one managed to come through. I'm glad, especially since they have been all in on Destiny since day one. I doubt there will be any extra product, as this store is actually a local chain of four stores and they only got one kit. They're limiting registration to thirty-six people, but pulling from all four areas quickly filled up all the slots. Still, I now have something fun to do on Saturday when I thought I was destined to wait for general release.

People are complaining about lack of pre events and I find it strange. I live in the middle of nowhere as gaming is concerned (FFG products reach us 4-5 months after release in average, we use last years tournament kits for X-wing and Imperial Assault) but I found out where will be two different Pre events withing my reach, and I can attend both easily. All hail our Asmodeus overlords and their delivery service :D

I agree with the other posts that this thread is pointless, you don't actually read the responses properly before mashing you face into the keyboard to formulate a response. I guess we should be thankful that your random key mashing results it words and it would be too much to ask to have them coalesce into a coeherent arguement.

Soviet Prince gets to complain. We get to complain about Soviet Prince complaining. Everyone gets to waste their time.

Well, just got our final confirmations this morning and it looks like the Boise, ID area isn't getting a preview event in any of our stores. I can't even confirm one anywhere in Idaho. We're not a huge area, but still it's large enough that should have gotten at least an event.

We seem to have a lot of pre release events here in the UK. I have 2 within about a 5 mile radius.

On the plus side for those not able to get to an event it should only be a couple of weeks until SOR boosters are available if it follows the same time line as the Awakenings pre events.

Pretty sure they said full release was in May so retail sales are probably more in the 5-6 weeks away than a couple weeks

If it doesn't release on May 4th I will be disappointed.

Everywhere over in the UK is showing dates of the back end of April for stock, including convos with my local shop. Hope it is anyway! I am in Vegas for a week start of May and don't want to have my booster boxes sitting being neglected while I am away! :D

My local store says that SOR should arrive in April, probably after Easter.
