Home One in Rebels

By melminiatures, in Star Wars: Armada

According to the Behind the Scenes Gallery, the ship we saw in the last episode WAS the Home One (not just any other Mon Calamari). Not only that but they state that it is larger than a ISD.

According to the scale comparison there, the Home One should be around 2000m, not 1200m

Awesomsauce!

It's longer then an ISD and just as thick? I really don't know how I feel about that scaling at all, I sort've prefer Armada's.

Is it the length that worries you or is it the girth that make you uneasy?

Asking for a friend.

I demand FFG to remake the MC80 to be larger than the ISD. Then they can remake the ISD I and make it white.

I just want a rescaled af2

You want FFG to make the ISD white only after they make the MC80 significantly longer then an ISD...curious :D

I dunno. Get ahold of a 3D printer or find something like Mel's. it's completely fine to make/buy a better one if you find the one you have already is insufficient.

It would allow a balanced "bonus wave" where they don't add much new content, but give new models. I was vehemently against getting a new ISD in "real waves" because I want new content, not rehased material. But reskinning both of them would be good. No sexual innuendos here like Mad is making hahaha

I was against reskins initially but decided I was in favor of them once the sexual innuendos were added.

Nice. How long has the Home One size debate passed among the interwebs?

I've always liked the idea of a large H1 in comparison to the standard 1200m MC80.

It just started again.

IIRC the MC80 was always longer than an ISD just much narrower.

Standard MC80 has always been 1200m to an ISD's 1600m.

The H1 has been debated for some time, ranging from the Standard 1200, up to 3200 in some sources.

Ahhhh, bringing back reminders of Star Wars Empire at War. Good ole small Home One...then Forces of Corruption comes out and all the sudden it's mega huge! Never did find out the reason for the change, though I always liked the look of the small version better for some reason.

Herbal supplements. They really do work.

So many good zingers in this thread.

The fact that we have a canonical size for Home One makes me way more excited than it reasonably should.

Doesn't matter whether they change the size of the models or not. Oh your ISD is supposed to be smaller than my HMC80? Doesn't matter I'm still gonna hit your ship base :D

Indeed.

1900m was the estimate I saw made. Either way, it's heftier - though the Lambda shuttle is still a tight fit, unless the floor of the bay can be lowered before a Lambda launches.

It's pretty comparable to an ISD in volume now.

So basically they HAD to make it bigger, so that small ships could actually fit into the docking bay.

This entire thread would make Michael Scott explode with the need to say it...

Thats what she said.

There is a shot in Jedi, during the battle of Endor, where a Mon Calimari ship is passing behind a Star Destroyer and depending on how far behind it you estimate it, it is somewhere between a little bit bigger than an ISD to a lot bigger. I know that Star Wars Cannon is determined by Role Playing game Sourcebooks and Wikki articles, and so we shouldn't take what is actually in the movie as authritative, but whatever that ship is seems to be really big in the movie. I think it is pretty reasonable to suggest that if the ship in question isn't the flag ship (which I think it is) then Home One wouldn't be any small than the that ship.
