I did a bit of searching, but couldn't find a picture of the interdictor as seen in rebels, with the red lights. Does anyone have one on hand?
Rebels Interdictor
The only one that comes to mind is the wave 4 announcement. And that is only the spine. Other than that, mostly people painting them with red lights
Officially? Like, From the Show, Picture?
It doesn't.
Even when the Grav Wells are Active, there are no Lightups.
Here's a picture of the Grav Wells Engaged, right before they stop the Corvette from escaping near the End.
As you can see, No Glow.
However, the Box Art does
And then on the Upgrade Cards themselves
@Drasnighta Perhaps it's just critically overheating in the box art. Leading to the next wave's experimental upgrade, "Experimental Coolant Pump", which prevents your Interdictor from immediately exploding every time it resolves an experimental upgrade.

Well, if you go by the Rebels images, in which the Interdictor Overloads and explodes, it does so with a blue crackle and im/ex-plosion, rather than a Red one.

Yes, that would be due to the experimental coolant system. The bugs aren't quite worked out yet. This is, of course, reflected in the card by a random chance to explode upon resolving the ECP upgrade in order to prevent explosion.
The Arquitens into the Bridge might have had something to do with it, too.
Stupid Imperial engineers. Who authorized routing the coolant lines through the bridge again??

I'm pretty sure it actually overloaded because the most brilliant Star Wars character ever disabled the failsafes on the grav projectors.
In other news, can we discuss the utter disappointment of anyone who had their heart set on being an engineer on an imperial vessel...who is afraid of heights?
You wouldn't get past the recruitment process.
I mean, you probably have to walk across a rail-less accessway to just get to the recruiting center...
... Nevermind attend the Imperial University on Coruscant...
@Admiral Theia
To Update You.
The Season 3 Finale of Rebels
did
show parts of the Interdictor Glowing Red... A First Time!
I'm pretty sure there is a red glow down the spine of the ship in one of the scenes. I remember thinking "Oh cool, the Interdictor is glowing red."
In the new Episode, yes. That is what I am saying.

Hmmmm don't know how I missed your last comment.
Its okay, I'm getting screens now anyway
You would think Imps would start building their ships to withstand impact from another ship with how many times this happens.

The thing that bugged me is that the interdictor has FAR more hull points than the Quasar, and could easily withstand a ram without serious systemic consequence. Heck in two rounds it would be fine again. Sheesh, who are they writing this show for anyhow!?
I was very pleased to see some of the red-glow effects, and a more thorough demonstration of the Interdictor in a combat environment.
The ram was fine with me, the missiles were BS.

Yea I think it was a little excessive when the Interdictor was split 100% in half, but a ram like that would severally damage if not destroy it outright. Should have ran it into the bridge instead so Sato could see the fear in Konstantine's eyes.

That would've been incredible
If this weren't a kids show they could cut between Konstantine's eyes and then Sato with both middle fingers up at Konstantine as the two bridges collide.

Ships close.
Cut to Konstantine, eyes widened.
Cut to Sato, eyes narrowed.
Cut to ships continue to close.
Cut to panicked Imperial crew running about, reflected in the expanding puddle on the deck below Konstantine.
Cut to Sato, eyes closed, whispering "Superman"
Cut to ship impact and destruction.
I just thought they were trying to make the box art look cool.
