Anyone ever try it? Results? Thoughts? Crazy?

In my experience when my B-Wings get hit, they're getting hit fairly hard, so recovering 1 shield for 4 points is probably not worth it.

If your B-Wing really needs to live, take Biggs because nothing else is guaranteed to keep it alive if your opponent decides he wants it dead. Either keep it cheap and use it for disposable firepower or tool it up and let Biggs keep it alive long enough to make its points back.

Chewy also discards one damage card, so his effect is similar to 2 extra shields for 4 --> 5 points (5 cuz you have to pay the Bwing crew slot), not only one.

I like Chewy in a turreted hwk (or any 2+ agi ships with crew slot).

Do you buy a shield upgrade for him so that you can regain the shield token or just use Chewie to discard a card? 23 points for a TIE Fighter is starting to get a little on the steep side, even if it does take 6 hits to kill it.

Sure did! and it was hilarious! 6 health behind 3 evade dice while doing my best to stay at range 3 or behind a rock while still keeping arc to deliver the condition card is really funny! He lives a long time, and he seems to be a magnet for fire because he reduces the attacks. I fly him with Biggs and Corran for the troll factor. It's not competitive, but it's so fun.

Rex/Chewie with Biggs and Kanan would be hilariously Trolly.
