Battle vision applicable to Loku himself?

By Le Gaucher, in Imperial Assault Campaign

I'm using Loku Kanola and I won his own Battle Vision reward card on a side mission.

The card says "While a friendly figure is attacking a figure adjacent to a figure with a recon token, apply +1 damage to the attack results."

First I was using that card's feature for myself and other players in my team, but suddenly we realized it wasn't saying "While YOU OR a friendly figure is attacking..."! The DM then decided that Loku couldn't use Loku's own reward card feature for himself.

Please tell me this is just a mistake on the card's print! Or else, this card sucks a bit!

Thanks

"A friendly figure" includes the figure itself. "Another friendly figure" does not.

A figure is friendly to itself. See Friendly Figure, page 13 of the RRG.

Thanks a lot, guys. I wonder why some cards are sometime saying "you or a friendly figure", then.

Hmm... From the cases I recall this comes up when it's going to specify that the friendly figure must be within X spaces (ex. Fenn's Tactical Movement) or adjacent to you (ex. Gharkhaan's Wookiee Loyalty). You cannot be adjacent to yourself so it is necessary in those cases, however you are considered to be within X spaces of yourself. Maybe they use it in both cases as a matter of consistency.

Sometimes "you or" is there just for more fluent reading. Sometimes there is lack of space to add clarifications (although not in this case), so the abilities depend on the core rules exclusively.
