Which is the Better Norra?

Fortunately the alternative art version of C-3PO can be picked up on eBay without requiring a second mortgage. ;)

I was already looking it up. Do I really want to pay $12 for a single card? Not really. Do I want to play $100+ for a Tantive IV I'll never fly? Nope nope.

Yeah, you guys have convinced me I need to get my hands on a C3PO, especially with it being a tournament, and I will definitely need Norra for the end-game.

Plus, there's a nostalgia factor of piloting a ship with C3PO and R2D2 at the same time...

Do you know anyone local who runs tournaments? C-3PO was part of a tourney kit a while back or something like that.. That's how I got mine, the guy who TO's some local tournaments had some left and was a good enough guy to not sell them off, instead handing them out to those new in the scene.

The Norra I enjoyed flying is not defensive, but it has been effective for me

VI, Rey, BB-8.

as long as you bank a few focus tokens, at PS9 it's easier to get your TL and with BB8 you can be more unpredictable and have repositioning for shots

Next time I go, I'll ask around to see if I can get my hands on one. If not, dropping a few bucks is more or less like picking up an expansion that only comes with one card you want haha

What do you fly this Norra with? I don't see how she'd survive to end game.

Put in bigger threats

No natural evade. That's why the ideal C3PO roll is and eyeball <focus> so that it can be flipped. This is another reason PTL is so important because you can Focus + Target Lock

I think y'all have pretty much sold me on C3PO. But, here's my concern. If I'm withholding my focus + TL for defensive, that means I'll just be rolling 2-4 (depending on arc and range) unmodified dice on the offensive. Is the strategy then just peck away at their shields/hull hoping to get through while I try to get that 2-3 evade result + R2. I won't be giving much damage, but hopefully over time I'll be dishing out 1-2 hits per turn?

I guess that's what wins games late, though. Staying alive and taking enemy ships down one at a time.

I agree. In this situation no matter the other ship Norra would instantly become target priority due to the 1 green dice roll;

@Moneyinvolved who's the other pilot? Assuming you attach Alliance Overhaul (0) points this build is 34 points with Norra.

@jwilliamson12 remember with PTL that target lock gives you options while both attacking or defending; and with the title you increase your primary attack by (1) to 3! If you decide to use the auxillary firing arc a <focus> is a modified crit result

You can always roll Biggs. I just offered a build for her

So I assume you would run this Norra build with Biggs; assuming Biggs has R2D2 to regenerate; and Norra is somewhat attached to the hip what happens when it runs into PWTs or has been outflanked from behind? Because I would think Biggs would have to run and if that's the case then Norra is a sitting duck, especially with Biggs only having 4 greens (1 & 2 straight, 1 left - right bank) and if Biggs is on the outside of Norra staying at Range 3 of Norra is very easy target and for a ship (as an example as) Rey with Finn in arc with Expertise that's very devastating to Norra

We're not jumping on you...just curious if you had a list in mind with Norra like that.

How about using C3PO and R2D2

I think that's where @jwilliamson12 , the original poster, has landed.

I realize you guys weren't jumping on me. This is a discussion forum. I understand that. I didn't have a specific hundred point list in mind. I ran it during a league where we had to use non-meta pilots. I had a Kyle HWK and I don't remember the other ship, but I enjoyed Norra in that list. You could alway put a 3p0 Miranda with M9 Jess w/integrated at 100 points. That way if you loose Nora you have Miranda for the end game and M9 on her until Jess gets distroyed.

40 Nora (29), PTL (3), VTs (2), Tailgunner (2), R2-D2 (4), AO (0)
26 Biggs (25), R4-D6 (1), IA (0)

Assuming fairly standard 40 point Nora and 26 point Biggs, that leaves you with about 34 points to spare. There are plenty of good ships you can fit into that:

34 Braylen Stramm (25), AO (0), R3-A2 (2), Gunner (5), VTs (2)
34 Thane Kyrell (26), AO (0), M9-G8 (3), Weapons Engineer (3), VTs (2)
33 Nera Dantels (26), Protorps (4), EMs (2), Deadeye (1), Guidance Chips (0)
33 Jake Farrell (24), VI (1), Prockets (3), Autothrusters (2), Test Pilot (0), Push the Limit (3)

Each of the above offers something different to the squad: Stress control, buffing support, heavy 360-degree firepower, slippery movement shenanigans. I am sure there are other good pilots around the same mark but these are good pilots in that price bracket.

I'm trying to decide which one of these Norra builds will work best alongside my Ghost/Shuttle:

Norra Wexley (41) - ARC-170
Expertise (4), Tail Gunner (2), R2-D2 (4), Alliance Overhaul (0), Vectored Thrusters (2)

I'm running a Norra very close to this and am using Ahsoka in Captured Tie with Sabine and Bombs to give norra the extra action. I've even run it a few times with Engine upgrade
