Congratulations

By Embir82, in X-Wing

Advanced Targeting Computer is 5 points for a single specific result with you needing a target lock you can't spend. 3 more points to name any result you want for any ship on your side with no range restriction doesn't seem too out of line to me.

As for a lot of lists the two slot requirement isn't as big a deal I am not sure it dictates that much of a point cut. The Palp shuttle wants to be as cheap as possible anyways, so it wouldn't eqip a second crew if it could.

I don't think ATC is valid point here - its 1 point. It has 5 points printed there just to make other systems free on X1.

Not really. It's 5 points, it's justthat 4 of those points are discounted to compensate for the ship having been overcosted in the first place.

Congratulations whining, unskilled players.

Your constant moaning paid off. FFG basically killed Palpatine.

Card was fine, it worked well - the real problem were Defenders. Unfortunetly on this forum anyone can sound like an experienced X-Wing veteran who knows what he is talking about. This means mob rules.

Unfortunately whining prevailed so we have a dead card now.

Now I know one thing - I won't buy big ship ever again, because if there is a good card, there is fairly high chance that sooner or later FFG will nerf it into oblivion.

Given how much you are focused on what I said

Is that not how a conversation works? Listen to the other person and respond to what they say?

If people thinking your self-esteem is low bothers you then don't open your posts with an attack on the forum, tone down your ego by several orders of magnitude and stop responding to any criticism with unbridled aggression. Don't conform to the stereotype of a belligerent compensator and people won't stereotype you as one.

I ran out of likes because of the FAQ changes, but I want to let most of you know, I would have liked your comments.

Am I too late?

Man, I've been on a roll the last couple of days with randos on the internet calling out to Roanoke, in places I'm not even posting. Must be the phase of the moon. I assume, like the last one, you're someone I've never met before in real life and just throwing shade because reasons.

On topic, the Palp nerf has nothing to do with forums - FFG doesn't care about this wretched hive. Palp was probably the card we talked about the most and went through the most iterations trying to figure out what nerf, if any, was needed for the health of the game. There were a lot of passionate Palp players who made sure he was still worth playing.

Don't flatter yourself. I find your opinion of me amusing and funny, instead of bothering - because it is so far off the mark. It is funny how your smug and condescending attitude unfolds. Especially your inept tries at psychological analysis.

The only dumb thing is your argument. Given card is a part of big ship package - in this case most important for me. If I see that given part might lose its usefulness I won't risk buying big ship again.

I got my palp off eBay... haven't bought a Raider yet and don't plan to... in fact I did that with a lot of things. For example I bought the rebel transport X-Wing and pilot cards off eBay because I didn't want the rebel transport same with the Tie Advanced in the raider expansion...

Any idea what FFG's opinions on TLT are? I'd like to think they were at least mentioned in a conversation regarding power levels/NPE, even if FFG dont feel the need to change them.

I doubt I ever sound like an experience X-wing vet.

I'm sure it has already been said on here but with the merging of dengaroo I think FFG saw defenders and Palatine feeling the void very hard and still leaving an unbalanced meta so they had to be nerf too.

This should be a good thing throws open the doors for list building again.

  • "There will be tournament, Mr Nobody." - Embir82

I'm not sure you've made a single attack on anyone in this thread that hasn't been in some way hypocritical.

Actually, now Palpatine NEED skill.

So why you, skilled pilot, are complaining?

Apparently people can survive without proper spelling too.

I seriously doubt it was any whining on here that caused a change. If FFG just took their lead from posts here, they would have issued a T65 fix months ago that made the /x7 title look under-powered. :P

Most likely they take most of their data from the tournament scene. If a few lists are making the top tables again and again that indicates certain cards are better than they should be for the points to the extent that it is overshadowing player skill and luck. The fact that people had issues with these cards are because players realised they were strong, same as FFG. I doubt it is FFG having a knee-jerk reaction to what people post here.

I think you are mistaking association for causality.

I assumed given he was talking about Polish regionals that English isn't his first language. Dodgy spelling's fine, it's the ego and attitude that's the problem.

Fair enough - dodgy spelling just another aggravating factor on top of an ego and attitude sundae.

Um... good? Buying a giant ship you don't want for a small piece of card was dumb anyway. If this catalyses you making sensible purchasing choices I'd say FFG did you a favour.

But a big part of X-Wing purchases is buying ships you don't want for cards that you do want.

You're also a nobody like everyone in a forum.

Palpatine didn't require any skill and dumbed down the game with a guaranteed result on demand per turn. Thats not what skilled players need but they all used it because it made it easier.

Except now for 8 points and 2 crew slots you have a random chance if the card has any effect of contribution that turn.

Oh if you're going to get all logical about it then fine
