Damage from Collisions?

By hattymchappy, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

I can't find this information anywhere on the forums. Here's the situation:

My players jumped into hyperspace into the Deep Core with a failed Astrogation check. Upon arrival, the ship immediately suffered a collision. I understand how the Critical Hit table works with collisions, and it would make sense for the ship to take hull damage from the collision, right? However, I can't figure out how much hull damage the ship suffers. Or does it only suffer the Result from the Critical Hit table? In this case the 82-90 Shields Down effect.

Am I missing this in the rules somewhere? Thanks in advance.

Collisions are critical hits. There is a grey box explaining this in the core books in the "Taking Damage" Section of the starship combat rules, p256 for example in AoR.

There are two types of collisions, major and minor. You roll for a hit, reduce the crit by 5 times the defense in that shield zone or 10 times your defense in that zone and be done with it.

No hull trauma applied, but as crits get worse with each new one and are not easily repaired, they are basically the worst consequence from such a hyperspace accident. And then there is always the possibility to roll that 151+ when getting a crit ;-)

Thanks. I understood how the Critical Hit part worked. It just seemed strange to me that there was no Hull Trauma. But now I get it.
