Many changes deserve a reissue of cards

By migs6000, in X-Wing

With the new FAQ released, it begins to get out of control trying to remember all the stuff not printed on the card. PDF releases don't cut it, there should be a reissue of cards that have changed significantly.

If anything, it will help newer players. Come on FFG, you know it to be true!

Totally agree, before most changes where on cards I never use and didn't care. But a lot if these new ones I do care, Manny and Zuckuss for sure big changes. At least with Heavy Scyk the C-Roc will have new cards for iut but what about all the rest?

Does FFG do a Print on Demand service for certain things?

Why not do that here.

Create an entire pack of "Errata Cards" for Print on Demand.

Personally, I think they should come out with a boxed set called "Edicts from the Imperial Senate" with all the new cards. And since it has to include some plastic zoom zoom, we get a 3D version of the Senator's Shuttle from Mission 1.

I'd happily buy an FAQ/Errata "booster pack" once a year with the updated cards.

Well until they issue errata cards, just mark the cards with small adhesive dots. You can find them at Office Max/Office Depot. Usually come in 4 colors so you can color code the changes for clarification, nerf,, etc.

If they don't do print-on-demand or boosters, then they should allow proxy of errata cards. No one technically has the legal product anyway.

And as another point, the new cards should feature new art (or a new border), so it is easy to tell old from new.

They should issue them in tourney kits as prizes with new artwork

Good idea. They did this in Imperial Assault already.

The nice thing about X-wing is you don't need a library. You don't even need a printout. Everything is on the cards, at first you might need the small rule book but after that it is all straight forward.

FFG announces a dozen errata to balance out cards via pen and ink changes making all the old cards nearly invalid.

#$%& it, Proxy everything. Just please bring more than pen writing on a torn piece of blank paper or a MTG land card with a sharpie written over it.

And while they are at it, fix Major Rhymer's cost and fix Lt. Lorrir's ability to not gain stress and put those new cards in the pack!

I am a fan of alternative art tournament and store kit cards - but would be nice if there was a way to know it is the errata fix.

I agree that these need a reprint. Not sure I'm happy about the thought of paying for them as I feel I've already paid for them once. Also issuing them as tournament prizes didn't sit well with me as me and my friends don't play them. Maybe send a stack to your local store, you bring in your old cards to swap them for the updates for free? Something needs to happen has I really hate having to have a printed FAQ that is referred to each time.

Also this will really confuse new players.

Maney Bothans deserves credit for getting the death star 2 plans.... but alas, he is lost to history....

on a more serious note, this would be nice. (Campaign box could surely hold this and more right?)

Err... now that i think about it... maybe they should have an exchange program? idk...

Simple reprints in an errata pack. Include a ship if you must for license purposes; there are plenty that need a buff... or the senators shuttle idea. That would be cool too.

It's not a party till Joe Boss shows up talking like a Cajun hobbit version of Yoda!

I second the notion for a card upgrade pack and hope that FFG will see the necessity if threads like these get big enough.

C'mon, FFG, We will even pay for it!

A campaing expansión, like the Armada one. With reprints of the errated cards.

If some ship are needed for license reasons... Ewing, Imperial Slave and Kihraxz. 3 ships and cards for others, like the most wanted expansión, could come with the campaing.

I would love to buy something like this.

I for one would pay for card reprints.
