Palpatine has taken the biggest hit, I think. That doesn't seem like an 8 point card any more...

It basically levels the playing field again. For the most part.

Palp is no longer as powerful, Zuckuss is now a 1 or 2 uses a game card now (which for a point I suppose is more balanced), Manaroo can't hide away and do her thing, Defender need to watch how they fly (and watch for stress).

It'll settle down the top meta for sure. Hopefully it's not just harsh to players and actually opens up selections of ships/lists.

I'm impressed. Pretty much all the changes make sense. YMMV but I am very, very encouraged by each of the errata shown.

  1. Manaroo- I think I would rather have locked out her ability with stress rather than range but range 1 is a pretty tight leash. Definitely helpful but Parattani is still going to be strong and the Jumpmaster really needs an across the board price increase to be truly balanced.
  2. Palpatine- Looks just about perfect. Making decisions with imperfect information is what makes the game fun.
  3. Tie X7- Woah! I expected maybe either of those changes but not both. Very good news.
  4. Zuckuss- thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou

That's huge. Palpatine and Manaroo are both far harsher than I expected.

Going ti be fascinating to watch this unfold over the next several weeks. Parattanni doesn't seem to have been hit as hard as some of the other archetypes - really spends on how much of an impact that Manaroo Nerf has.

The Zuckuss nerf is fantastic, TBH I think they went a tad far with the other three. Big news though.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. These changes are, in my opinion, going to mean fewer people take these pilots/upgrades, but I'm worried that rather than playing with these new abilities, people are going to just drop these cards for the next broken combo.

At least Zuckuss still works fine on the C-ROC. Woohoo!

They should have made Zuckuss a stress cap, not unusable after stress. Now he'll be like an inverted elusiveness.

Well I've opined in the past that Manaroo should be Range 1-3...


Range 1 seems a little harsh.

Zuckuss now seems fair for the points cost

Palpatine... Wow... That's, that's a hell of a change.

X7, that feels like it should.

Overall though... Just... Wow.

That is bold as **** and FFG deserve praise for it. I'm personally sad about the X7 change but think it's totally fair in the grand scheme of things. The Palp change is also excellent as you have to commit to what you are going to use him on. I think his 8 points are perhaps too many for what you're getting now, but still.

Manaroo and Zuckuss changes are perfect to me.

They answered the questions about HotShot pilot and things like Accuracy Corrector. It was the answer I expected, if you can't spend the token you don't have to.

Manaroo is going to hit Dengaroo much more than Parattani.

I'm on the fence about Palp.

X7, I predict the D's are going to become a bit more popular.

Zuckuss, I've been a proponent of this change for a while.

I can't say I'm thrilled that so many cards now require updated FAQs, but I can see why they're doing it.

I doubt I'll be buying sodas at my FLGS for a bit, what with all the Defender tears so freely available.

They have now come out and said that "immediately" doesn't mean anything. That's nice.

For the x/7s, I didn't catch at first that it is an evade action. So now, not only does ship/obstacle overlap stop the evade token, but so does stress. I struggle against TIE x/7s, but even I think it still should have said "receive an evade token" at the end instead of "perform a free evade action."

Palpatine is still good. Defenders are still really good, they just need to be more careful. Dengaroo is dead. Mindlink lists are dead. Manaroo is now as good as Wave 1 supports. Which is to say, not very

Mindlink is still solid, just not a Manaroo-mindlink list. I've run Mindlink Scyks with quite a bit of success, which will only be better with Defenders taking a bit of a hit.

I agree. I'm glad my Zuckuss + Bossk + Talonbane list with Attanni Mindlink is untouched.
