Thanks, Zyi. Find Jawa, and any other survivors-in-hiding, push big-red-button.

Bennar, Come with? If we do find survivors, they may well require assistance.

"If its just a drop-off, then I'm sure we can find a seat on an interstellar cruiser that will get Nix where he needs to go safe and sound," Worra proposed. "No need to head to the Gordian Reach ourselves."

Worra pulled up the galactic map on the holo-display and pinned the coordinates for Yavin and Tython. "Tython is quite the opposite direction. We'd be stuck on the Hydian Way for the better part of two weeks." Worra zoomed in on a portion of the Hydian Way close to the core. "Here, the Brentaal System. There would be plenty of transports leaving from Brentaal IV, and then its only a short trip from Brentaal to the Deep Core."

Worra was not eager about the thought of traveling into the Deep Core. The Hyperlanes there tended to be quite unstable due to the prevalence of black holes, which could easily rip a hyperlane apart, atomizing anything within it. Normally, explorers would have to apply for a permit to travel through such dangerous territory, though Worra doubted his allies were interested in going the legitimate route.

"No can do, Worra." Yorik grinned and responded through a mouthful of ice cream. He looked up at the massive and perfectly content rancor and doubted anyone else could handle such close proximity without absolute and total panic. Geez, what a crazy day.

"This is a job that can only be done by ourselves. We have to go to Yavin and deal with this personally otherwise very bad things could happen. Est-bay oo-tay oid-avay e-thay Ancor-Ray Ampage-Ray.

" Then, we can head to Tython. I believe you about the time, but we might need to boost our speed so maybe we can find something here around the station on one of the other ships to upgrade the Golden Hind ?"

I agree with both of you. We don't need to spend weeks criss-crossing the galaxy right now- there is too much at stake. But I don't think standard shipping is the best idea for our large friend here, either. It might be prudent to keep him under observation, before simply releasing him into the wild.

Why don't we keep Nix as our guest, for now, as we head to Tython. Sure, Astrid. Take the Sithed-up Rancor to the most powerful vergences known. Great idea.

Our travels after that might well take us to Felucia, which has a climate similar to that of Yavin, and a native Rancor population. Or we'd be nearer the Gordian Reach, if need be.

I'll be honest. My travel time always seems too short, spent immersed in the study of my latest find, or researching the next... Could the Hind be upgraded to travel significantly faster? If you think the trade-off in time spent upgrading now would be worth it... Zyi? I imagine you would be saddled with the technical details of such an endeavor. What's your take on the subject?

@April (What do you think about the idea of boosting the hind's hyperdrive)

Yorik checked the maps to get a better idea of where they were traveling...

galaxy_map.jpg

"Holy Frell!" He exclaimed. "Yavin and Felucia are both close to Korriban!"

Durrak looks at the map. " That looks like something out of a game. Are you sure it is correct? "

ok meta time is over !!

Hey guys, while we sit here jabbing there's still a missing Jawa out there. I know we need to take care of this Rancor, but if we are going to rescue the Jawa sooner would be better than later. Bennar knew that the odds of a successful rescue mission dwindled drastically after the first few hours, and it has been much longer than that. At this point, hate to say it but I think it's going to be a body retrieval mission instead of a rescue one. Not saying we shouldn't try, but let's get moving. I'll be ready in five minutes. Bennar leaves for a moment to suit back up, out of the garb that would have been suitable for the medbay and patient care and into his military gear. Taking a moment to make sure everything was in order. Combat stims, medical stims, rifle, pistol, grenades, all here and in working order. Hopefully this will be an in-and-out walk through the mall.

Finally. Someone with a sense of urgency, and the authority to address the situation from a medical standpoint.

Thank you, Bennar. Already prepared for the SAR, Astrid studies the map briefly, focusing on the Deep Core region. Empress Teta ... she whispers, quickly consulting her tablet... might make a good jump-off point ...

Doc, We're ready.

Breaking from her reverie, Astrid stows her pad, and rolls her shoulders. Let's do this.

Worra skims through the mercantile files on his datapad. "The Yavin system, yes, here's the file. Gordian Reach sector, far into the Outer Rim. Yavin Prime had a fairly active trade in Corusca gems, though the industry has since shut down. It seems there was an Imperial embargo on the planet for the better part of six years. I wonder why..."

Worra continued scrolling through bland economic and census data until he go to one post that stuck out. "Hmm... the Trans-Hydian Mining Clan seems to have recently reinvested in the system and has an open employment call. Might be a reasonable way to slip into the system if we don't want to draw too much attention."

Theres also a bunch of nightsisters who are at the moment basically running a civil war with them... its not that safe...

Yorik answered, "As far as I'm concerned, we're heading to Yavin IV to safely drop off Nix asap. Then, it's on to Tython to the Libraries there and to find this "Ancient One" who can train us to properly deal with Insanire and his screaming acolyte, the Miraluka. There should be more artifacts for Mr. Zando and hopefully for us. But, we can either then find the Crystal Sword or we just go after that organic ship and retrieve Sar Agorn, kill the Miraluka, and bring its body back to Mr. Zando. Oh, and we deal with Insanire once and for all too.

"If we need to take care of other priorities for each of us along the way then as long as we're still moving toward our overall goal I don't see a problem with that. What do you guys say?

"Bennar, do you mind joining us in dealing with the lunatic mastermind behind this mall of carnage? We could certainly use your help, sir. After what we experienced on New Taris and now here on Flerbos Station I'm more resolved than ever to end this threat of Insanire the monster. I feel confident that Shard, Dr. Astrid, Durrak, and Worra hold the same belief but you're new to this and I realize that we're asking a great deal of you."

The Yavin System it is, then. I'll send Zando a message with the statue, to the effect that we're following a lead to the Massassi Temples on Yavin 4. "Blahblahblah SithArtifact Blahblah." We need a reasonable excuse, guys, if we're going to go off-piste like this. In fact, we should probably make a stop there, just to backstop our cover story. They're not buying this at all...

Zando might be slightly angry that this is the second thing youve failed to capture for him.... He might send one of his Lieutenants to make sure your doing your job

I hadn't even checked the overall state of the ship, are we headed out or searching for Griff's companion before we head out?

( @April what's the difficulty to repair ship damage?)

it will fly, but that pod looks bio organic and metal, your going to need a medics help to safely remove it.

The droids have gone silent, which either means they're trying to let the sleeping Acklay lie, or Spy-D had me on speaker...

" yeah... IT knocked me then that bolt came off and im free... HAHAHAHAHA, also it was really freaky looking.... That cube is still there butt some kinda high tech rigmaroll, thingy is gone, i dunno what it is " says the droid.

Lord Crumbleberry is very disturbed by the creature... He managed to get some trace samples and is running some

Spy-d lets you know via digital message that, the creature hasnt moved, But it seems to have killed a LOT of things.

Astrid, Griff, and Bennar (anyone else?) make their way through the carnage surrounding the Caf-house. This is it , she mouths to the others.

Griff. Target the organ under its chin, which it utilizes more than its eyes, at close range. If it rouses.

Astrid's seeming nonchalance and calm exterior are belied by a tremor in her voice. Volunteers? as she pulls the submission collar from her satchel. Or do we kill this beast?

Edited by Edgehawk

Yorik finally realized that they were still On Mission and suited back up. He then hurriedly followed along after the Away team as they made their way to collar the Acklay. He whispered in response to Astrid, "Collar it. At least we can take that back to Mr. Z. If it wakes up then we stun it again and again until we either kill it or it finally submits. Hopefully, it will otherwise we'll just have to stop and get him another one or something." He grinned. Easy as Klatooinian Take Out

Edited by Cartergame

Bennar whispers, I specifically brought my big stun rifle so we didn't have to kill it. This thing should drop him fast if he does wake up, but I vote we try to collar him without testing that theory.
