Alchemical Problems IC RPG thread

Uh ok...big scary bad guy...check

Why are all you forcies always doing crazy shizz? Like why does it always get on some next level take over the universe shizz?

Yorik sighed, "A being able to stretch its consciousness over light years of time and space. Spanning across the entire galaxy. How is that even possible?

Well, regardless, we must deal with the immediate threat. The one in the mall here and now.

Then, we can seek out this Shaman of the Whills and ask him for his knowledge.

And Durrak, what were you saying about another traveler with us?"

He was talking to another sithy, apparently there are different sith types, you know cause it's better when things are more zany and complicated!! And this evil guy wants to help in some way... Imagine that!? I'm sure it'll work out just fine! Frag I crawl outta the slums of nar shadda for??

He holds his head in his hands exasperated, and begins to rub his temple...

"Work with us? Toward what purpose?"

It makes no sense. Unless it is to obtain his power for themselves.

Hmmmm, the enemy of my enemy is my ally.... to a certain extent.

Hmm... Kaeli Crystal Sword, Shaman of the Whills... I can help with these things.

I'm familiar with the Whills, though much has been lost or forgotten. Let me consult the archives I have access to, and see what I can come up with.

Happy for the distraction from the disturbing call they had received, Astrid delves into the holo in search of answers.

(Lore checks for Kaeli Crystal Sword and Shaman of the Whills : separate checks, I imagine? what difficulty?)

( you know, Its the thing Zando wants, at any cost. its Not just number 1, its 1-20 ... the sword is a myth, like Excalibur or the singing sword , the shamans are more fringe knowledge, your aware of them but nobody's seen them since before the destruction of the first death star... at least your aware of )

" Control, Siths Value their titles, Something claiming to be THE SITH AUTOCRAT doesn't leave many underlings... hence Acolytes and not the rule of two " says Lord Crumbleberry

Wait what do you know of Sith?!?!?

Zyi whips his head around as the aristocrat intersects.

Frags going on we got a frelling ex-monster rich dude who frag knows why, frelling knows about mind magic evil dudes, like seriously this isn't weird to anyone else? Like fragging seriously?

He hangs his head, and holds up his hands to signal he gives up. He looks up dejectedly.

Fine, why the kriff not eh? We are gonna catch a evil magic Rancor anyways so frell... Sure I'm gonna regret this either way, sure let's go for it... I'm soooo gonna regret this... Awsome going to have a crazy magic evil dude teammate... Frell...Can we at least assure we can contingency plan his *** and get the kriff out if things go south?

Yorik's mouth hangs open in shock as well Lord Crumbleberry's surprising knowledge regarding the Sith.

"Thank you very much, sir, for that astute observation."

However, Yorik's mind had already jumped ahead toward threat analysis.

"Unfortunately, if Lord Insanire is able to manifest himself anywhere and possibly invoke those rakghouls by will, I'm concerned that you may be more susceptible than most because of your previous transformation.

I think it might be best if you wait here in the Hind in your quarters for your safety. If you need anything, the Hind has every amenity you could possibly want and comforts befitting one of your station and nobility."

" Indeed though muted, he is being somewhat truthful. "

(Ooc: thank you for understanding )

Turning to his shipmates Durrak says "Should we accept help form the Sith I encountered. He seems to be secure in a cage that somehow mutes the force. He would send of his allies with us. I suppose I could take responsibility to keep a eye on her. "

Yorik then began assessing the likelihood of battling the Sith in the midst of a battle against Lord Insanire.

"No worries, Shard. We already have a enough gear to take down a crazed Rancor! How much trouble could one sword wielding mystic be? Besides, we could just ice her and give her to Mr. Zando as well. He collects Sith artifacts right? Well, she's a living artifact!

... Just great...

There was talk of a Shaman of the Whills who knew its location... but that means going to a very isolated place... without maps or a nearby Hyperspace Lane "

Sar Agorn. If you can provide a lead, this Kaeli Crystal Sword should become our next priority. Do we have a pilot equal to the task?

I confess, I am curious about this Sith offer of assistance. With due vigilance, we may need to accept any help on offer?

I've studied waaaayyy too much history... he doesn't really want me to answer this, does he?

" On Naboo sir .... The education regarding the Galaxys Menaces are Rather Extensive, So we may spot another Palpatine.... Such a Cad...." he sips his tea

(Yorik hasn't really seen a Lightsaber wielding Force User go all out so he obviously overestimates the power of a great Blaster at his side... :) )

"A Plan? Sure, Durrak and I will draw this madman out into the open while you, Shard, and Dr. Anduin stealth in to flank him and we take him down. Also, make sure this goes up on the holovids so that everyone sees what a threat he poses and we have credibility. Speaking of, Worra will contact the local authorities to handle the police presence and make sure that we're not taken into custody for wielding weapons in a public place. The others will remain here on the Golden Hind for Backup just in case things should go sideways and we need reinforcements.

OK, group let's gear up and head to the Mall!"

Yorik led the others off the Golden Hind and over to the Mall Marketplace...

Well this isn't gonna go well... At least it'll be a frell of an experience!

He tightens a few loose bolts and adjusts a loose wire before closing the panel in Aye's newly modified chassis. He picks up the little sphere and places it his back pack and slings it over his shoulder.

Havn't even tested it yet, I tried to get the little guy to understand what was happening and the the risks but he just kept flashing "Doggie yes! Doggie yes! Clear skies, clear skies!" I guess that's a go ahead... Don't know how the two personality matrices will interact, as the Hunter Droid's brain is largely just memory and instinctual subroutines, the decision making neural processor is largely fried. Frag it, we'll see what's left I guess. Aye is the one who gets to decide what stays and what remains inactive... Going to be an frell of a interesting experiment watching a little cam droid slowly accumulate conscience.... I know he's going to get a kick out of his new appendages, can't imagine what it's like to all of a sudden gain a new form of movement...

Life has been weird, and it seems this is all part of the bargain. Whatever roll with it, you hasn't died yet.

He checks over his weapons, slips one in a coat, and hides the others on his person.

Well I guess I'm... Gonna say ready but that ain't right, let's get a move on it. Nothing's getting easier by waiting around talking batha shizz!

Astrid is already thinking ahead to the next acquisition. The Kaeli Crystal Sword... that would be the score of a lifetime... and count heavily against my indebtedness to Zando...

No. I need to keep my head in the current mission, or I won't be around for the next big find.

Like I already said: Let's do this.

Astrid makes sure she has everything she will need for this take-down, grabs her helmet, and makes for the gangplank.

Keep up, SPY-D.

Sar Agorn remotes the ship, and it darts to the mall, its Quite close maybe 4 hours by hyperspace

" The world we need to go to is in an area known as the dark region... ships don't come back from there... Ill make the calculations to get there... It will take 117 Galactic Standard hours..."

The ship, is quiet, even the engine noise seems far softer..... ( does anybody want to do anything before docking??)

Put that silver spoon back in your mouth and hush, you'd still be a frozen beast or a lab dissection, learn some humility...

He shakes his head at the aristocrat.

Ok so let's huddle up, whats the plan of attack?

he glares at you... " humility from some Scallywag... Ha i'd sooner be that creature again.... You also asked, you rather Scruffy..... urmm alien fellow thing... yes indeed.! " he walks off..

Sar Agorn says " you know hes the director of XenoVirology, of the Royal Nabooian University right?, he might be useful.. "

(Can i get a news feed or anything else from the planet?)

Piss off! I asked but ain't like being called no cad.

Look I ain't taken and shizz from that brat, if he ain't helpful I'll b give him right back to mr screamy madness nutcase and he can see how well he deals with that attitude.

( I'm assuming that was a slight)

Softly to Zyi: I think he was referring to Palpatine...

Looks back back quizzicaly, Ah well...
