Sure sound good.

You walk along the streets, as you do so...you notice that there's some hubbub... it seems that a trial for a notorious Dark Side force user is happening... The holo news keeps on about his wicked likeness, his disturbing grin... a convoy of Republic security forces twinned with The Banking Federal Investigators is taking him back to a local Enforcement office.

" You there, you sir.. " a voice calls out.... " My Client requests a moment of your time "

Durrak is surprised to hear someone call to him.

"May I ask what this is about ? "

The advocate " Look sir, ill be honest with you. I am simply unsure... My Client is unpredictable at best. He said you were hunting a common enemy?...."

" A common enemy. By all means lead the way."

ooc: Can I make a perception or vigilance roll to see if there is anything or anyone else around. Durrak is interested but cautious about this.

Meanwhile, Yorik was onboard the Golden Hind running through a check of the team's Inventory List with Shard, Dr. Andunie, Eldrith, Worra, and Sar Agorn... He turned on the Stereo while the crew worked out the details...

"OK, guys... We have gear. Now, let's get a layout of Flerbos if we can so we can figure out a few likely spots to ambush the rancor. "

"Assuming the beast is going to be super tough like the monster we fought on New Taris, We need a combination of extremely heavy damage, effective toxins and tranquilizers, and precise strikes. Always, remember to aim before you shoot in order to give yourself a proper advantage. Also, we make sure to communicate effectively and call out our targets in order to concentrate our firepower to maximize the effect."

After prepping, packing, unpacking, and then repacking their gear, Yorik made sure to head to the store to stock up the Galley again for victory libations and refreshments.

*Sar Agorn, is there anything you need or are you self contained?*

*Also, when I return to the ship would you mind if we resumed our training? I know that I need to be much more prepared the next time we face someone wielding these Dark Force energies... Gratitude again, for your instruction and tutelage.*

Edited by Cartergame

OK, A Team... Let's see what we can put together and then head to Flerbos to put down this Rancor. Also, we need to discuss how to take down the other Force using creature. The humanoid with too many teeth. Can someone remind me please whether that was a kill or capture mission?

I think the beauty of a stun grenade, or stuff with a blast radius is we can bag two birds with one stone. However let me slice the local HoloNews networks to see if they have more footage or if I can access any security cams... Problem with these frelling jobs is no intel... Fragging mess always when you go in blind... Next time I'd like to know about a hand fence before I just drop on in... yah feel me?

He says as he looks up from the pile of parts he's sitting amongst.

Aye is gonna have to be on his A game here, and I don't have the right parts for this...

Well I'm going to have to run out for a some droid components, might see what our friends is up to and how's the shopping trip going, anyone need any last minute supplies they haven't mentioned yet?

Let's pick up a case or two of Ebla . Much better than the best Bespin has to offer.

Mind if I join you? I could use the walk, get off the Hind for a bit.

Edit: @Cartergame Can someone remind me please whether that was a kill or capture mission?

I think "capture" is the preference, for any of these altered beings.

Absolutely! Let's blow this joint Astrid!

The two leave the Hind and leisurely stroll through town looking for parts and chatting about the new Droids. After a bit Zyi funds an opening to broach a specific topic he's been curious about.

So how do you feel about the droid rights movement?

Lots of security, nothing sinister.

Your led into a area with a cell, it's specifically designed to leach force powers from any individual contained within. A frail looking Musstafarian (Northern) is caged within .

"So you came " says a voice...." even with these safe guards I can feel your hate to the Sith.... to me ... good you will need it. " he chuckles

"My friends tell me you are on the Trail of the Acolytes of Madness... You know it took both the Jedi and the Sith at full power to contain him last time? , not kill contain!... Children playing with Thermal Detonator grenades.... "

Hmm... I had a girlfriend at University who was involved, but I was not active in the movement, myself. I've kept company with droids who have displayed more personality, shown more empathy, than other beings I have known. Just their programming? Perhaps, but I believe that over time, distinctive quirks of personality evolve. I take it this is a matter of some import to you?

I have an issue with all forms of bondage....

Hmm... Nope. Not gonna go there.

You liberated Fitch's droid. Is he any less prone to glitching, now?

And how do our current missions fit into this moral high ground of yours? Capturing entities created or altered through Sith alchemy... to be turned over to a mysterious employer, for further examination.

Yorik resumed training with the Lightsaber in the chambers of Sar Agorn under his tutelage. He found it ironic that he was being trained in combat by a sentient creature with no arms or legs or visible limbs of any kind.

(Is this an ic or occ question Mr. Carter?)

Well... I'm not sure what to make of it at the moment. What do you make of it?

I know that I know of no way that exists to save them, It may be better that their death and suffering amounts to something, understanding of It....might just be the best we can muster, though it seems insufficient..

However you know Zando's operation better than I.

I know our droid needs some rehabilitation, but for what purpose, you think it shouldn't be his own?

I'm not certain what to make of it, either. Being a student of both science and history, I sometimes feel like I should have a better grasp of the situation than I do.

The truth is that after all this time, I have yet to meet Zando himself, and understand little of his motives. What I do appreciate, is that Zando's representatives recognized a potential within me, and sponsored an extensive education I could not have attained, otherwise. They could have hired or trained anyone, to do anything; but they hired me, to pursue archaeology. And there was that one time a rep slipped up, and mentioned someone high in the organization knowing my mother. He tried to pass it off as a mistake, that I'd misheard him... I don't even know my mother.

And no. I am not aware of any means of "curing" these Sith abominations, but I harbor hope that there is something positive being gained by not simply putting them down.

That droid is in good hands, now. I doubt that's the last we've seen of Fitch, though.

So how did you come to be "found" by Zando's people? It's a lucky thing an education like that...

He looks over various vendors as they approach what looks like an open air flea market.

What do you say should we have a look around? Also I'm a bit hungry you wanna grab a bite? Maybe they got street food around...

(feel free to take this anywhere @April and @edgehawk eventually I'd like to rescue a little doggie bot parts that will go to Aye's upgrade)

he looks at you for a second.. " Lord Insanire mean anything too you?..." He chuckled.... "Poor poor Simple minded children playing an adults game, tell me did the Hutt posing as the Last Jedi turn up dead yet? "

" I allowed myself to be captured, To talk to those who would Be the saviors of Both the Sith and the ..... Jedi... Imagine my disappointment realizing you know nothing..."

" Focus my friend, remember the lightsaber is a Not just a weapon it is a symbol of justice, of peace,... and more Importantly Balance"

( consider yourself trained with the exotic weapon)

Yorik bowed his head in sincere appreciation for Sar Agorn's instruction.

Training in Martial Arts was something that had always been comforting to him when he first joined Dantooine's Defense Force and those habits were always reassuring no matter how far away he traveled from home.

Training with a light saber was a new challenge and an elegant weapon with which he was eager to gain skill. More importantly, there was a reassuring and deeper sense of connection with Sar Agorn communicating in his mind that reminded him of the cameraderie he'd missed since leaving Dantooine six years ago.

*Balance... Yes, Sensei. Focus... Yes, Sensei.... But, a symbol of Justice? Of peace? Didn't the Sith and the Jedi wage war upon each other for thousands of years? Aren't the Sith planning to wage war again even now on Korriban?

Hmmmm.... Sar Agorn, you mentioned a place called Tython before. What lies on Tython that you do not already possess?*

As Yorik communicated mentally with Sar Agorn, he became more and more aware of another "presence" in their conversations. Somehow, he had expanded his connection from just Sar Argorn to more of the surrounding area. He could literally feel the Force moving all around and even through him. Yorik humbly realized that it wasn't "Danger Sense" as he'd always thought of it but rather his awareness of and sensitivity to the Force that enabled him to act and react so quickly when in times of crisis.

OOC: Durrak Snow, he knows nothing,!

"I know of this Lord Insanire was last seen around Korriban. I know you Sith and Jedi like to think you are the only ones entitled to the Force. I know you like to brag about your power and status. What else can you teach me?"

I suspect I have been at least indirectly under the tutelage of Zando, from a very young age. I have no memory of my parents, and they were only ever mentioned once, by a nameless representative I have not encountered since.

My first memories are shipboard, but I was only four or five when I was delivered into the custody of a Professor on the remote planet of Ayceezee, in the Kanz sector. Never heard of it? No reason you should have. Maybe that was the point.

Professor Batine apparently ran a discreet orphanage, of sorts, taking in various unwanted or embarrassing strays. It was more of an encampment, than a proper home, though. She was fixated on locating these lost scrolls, from a time forgotten by most, hidden deep within the karst topography of the rolling hills.

There was an old protocol droid who provided the six of us with the rudiments of an education, but Batine mostly had us hunting for caves, and wriggling through tight passages. For six years, it was crickets.

No! Literally, spider-crickets were all we ever encountered, until I discovered clues indicating a short sump needed to be navigated. Wading, then ducking into the water, I had to swim for nearly a minute, traversing a tight squeeze... but when I resurfaced, the passage continued to rise into a maze of crawlways. After a number of false leads, I found myself in a room where I could stand up and stretch. And then I saw it. It was a cylindrical, watertight container, much like a scroll case might appear?

Not without reverence, I opened the canister:

Astrid pauses to finish her banthaburger, before delivering the punchline.

Needless to say, I stopped looking for ancient scrolls, and I knew where I wanted to go.

Zando's reps visited the encampment a couple times a year, and I persuaded myself into the next ship out.
