Astrid's mind is racing, trying to keep up with the influx of new discoveries.

There's also a Staff... of a creature called *The Force walker*.

Staff... Force Walker... Almost certainly another Sith artifact?

**edit @April : I would like to use my Museum Worthy talent on this relic... depending on how the "once per session" caveat works in pbp (approximately how often would this option be available to me)?**

yes in fact there were some footprints from a large well in the dark tunnels that seem to be even under the crypt ..

And why do all of these excursions end up in crypts? catacombs? ossuaries? Frell... I guess this is what I signed on for...

I believe you might be able to do something with this" he hands you an old grime encrusted data slab... " all I ask if you get anything from it you share it with the museum

Accepting the data slab Thank you, and certainly we will share what we can manage to retrieve.

(is the grime purely superficial, or does accessing the data require computer/mechanical work?)

"Could you show us the sarcophagus that was looted?" Worra asks the curator. "As well as the burglar's entry point, and, if we should be so lucky, any security tapes you might have of the evening in question?"

Worra nods to his droids to begin basic data collection and forensic analysis. JMS takes images of the tapestries, paintings, and relics, while JSE heads outside to scan the area for evidence of Kul's entry.

"What more can you tell me about this Force Walker? He sounds interesting."

The Force Walk is an ancient Sith technique, necromancy if I recall correctly... no- I think it was used as a weapon. More, I cannot say, without doing a bit of homework.

revised info

Aye! Stop bothering them...

He softly scolds his droid friend. Aye is buzzing around the JSE droids sizing them up. He flutters off scanning over the various relics but with one eye on a low pressure zone coming from the North.

The group moves on walking through the poorly maintained, and rather impromptu organized collection. Zyi pays its problems no mind, he has a hidden love for museums, his access to this kind of learned culture was beyond his grasp growing up. He stares at each piece intently trying to ascertain each's significance in the social fabric of history.

The feeling of tragedy and adrenaline of the past 24 hours faded, caught up in the details and descriptions given by the guide.

When the breakin was mentioned the tension returned. In fact it seemed the while room, suspended in history, suddenly fell back to the reality of their situation.

Was anything taken from the sarcophagus? Was their any runes or writings of note on or in the sarcophagus? Do you have cameras here?

Yorik had remained respectfully silent while they toured the museum. He was a fan of history and had stuck to mostly military history during his time training on Dantooine. But his appreciation of other cultures extended to learning about what they considered important enough to put in a museum.

That said, he was surprised to hear the word "necromancy" and even more surprised to find himself piecing together the elements of the Rakghouls they'd recently faced and their possible origin from this place.

There was much to process. And he'd need to learn much more about the Sith and these artifacts they'd been tasked to retrieve.

It has been too long, the weather and animal tracks have destroyed most of the evidence if there was any to begin with

Your Fairly sure It was used as a weapon

"This place is a public good to the New Taris system. I'm sure the Bureau of History, Culture and the Arts would be interested in helping you get everything up to galactic curatorial standards. Perhaps I could help you secure a loan or a grant. With the right marketing, this place could be a real cultural institution, particularly now that Gonothar is unseated."

Have I heard anything about a Marshall being missing in this district? Can I use my datapad to check the local reports from the last six months to see if anything happened to him?

The Marshall is trying to break up a spice ring near by he simply doesn't have the time to dedicate to this world when he needs several platoons of troopers just to make landfall.

Addressing the Curator:

My patron also sponsors certain cultural resources. His personal collection is, of course, his priority; but he has been known to be very generous to institutions who have helped him to recover items of interest... I believe he would offer you a suitable trade, perhaps even invest in your museum here, were you to offer a modest gift to his own collection.

He is heavily invested in my career, and trusts my judgement in these matters (I hope...) - I would personally recommend that he cultivate you, and your museum, as valuable archaeological assets.

(I'm trying more for charm/negotiation here, as opposed to coercion. I also possess the Respected Scholar talent, which specifically helps in dealings with institutes of learning, if that would apply).

He looks at you then to your weapons ... his face becomes a mix of fear and sadness... he sighs " wait one moment"

He disappears and reappears with a small pouch he empties it onto his Palm they look like runes carved into bone fragments " Some Force users use these items to gauge the force... it's old, possibly the oldest thing here...please take it and leave... I ask you not to take the other exhibits... they are all I have "

You get little info mostly animal activity but you see the open Sarcophagus the old man simply doesn't have the strength to close it. I guess you make some Holorecordings?

You misunderstand me, Sir. I am not here to threaten and steal from you (well, not exactly...) . From the snippets of conversation I've caught regarding recent events, the Kel Dor here would likely try to arrest me.

I cannot refuse these, but my employer is in a position to compensate you- indeed, his pockets run deeper than any Reclamation Project, or notoriously strapped Arts Budget. He is certainly not a charity, but he could help you turn this place into what you so obviously dream it could be. It would be a small matter for him, but of great consequence to you and your museum. Please consider this offer carefully.

(Am I just a thief and enforcer, sent to shake-down this old man? Is this truly why I attended university all those years? I am not going to draw the "Lancer" he keeps looking at, and take the staff... but the next lackey Zando sends might not suffer from these ethical ambiguities. This would actually be easier if the old man was some ancient evil, risen to wreak havoc upon the galaxy... well, maybe not easier... where was I)?

Curator, tell me about yourself. I, too, am a creature of history, and I am curious about the circumstances that have brought you here. I am sure the others would also be interested in hearing your story.

Yorik had been quiet throughout this tour but spoke up to the Curator, "Pardon me, sir, but I believe that I can assist you in closing the lid of the sarcophagus. I'm sure my friend, Durrak, will be glad to help as well."

While closing the lid, Yorik examined the tomb for any other marks or secret caches within or around it. He also reached out with his Danger Sense in a different way this time... Attempting to Foresee anything that may have caused whatever was inside to awaken... In general, Yorik just wanted to get a feel of what was being kept here and if the group had already dealt with the threat in blowing up the palace or if there was much more to this than just the planet...

he has heard empty words many times before but something in you gives him a slight bit of hope

" I was a young lad when I first saw Somebody use the force, Seemed like magic. This person Was killed shortly after by Clone troopers... So I took his body and Burred it. I was Flogged for 90 Days

I hid his weapon and Tried to follow his example, But I have no gift. I was beaten again, Trying to help people.

Eventually I fled to the outer rim, trying to help with various projects when I heard a story of this place So I came and tried to preserve the history of those who tried to bring peace. Bit I am no Jedi. "

he gestures

"This is my lifes work, People come and take, And eventually One day they will Kill me...This place will fall into ruin and again The Jedi will fall into oblivion and folklore"

I am truly sorry you had to experience this. No good deed goes unpunished, indeed. I never met a Jedi, mostly long before my time- but though their order was flawed, and has been much maligned, I believe their intentions were noble.

I feel no particular affinity to the force myself, but it has always fascinated me: the myriad force traditions of ancient cultures, their places of power, and the objects they held sacred.

You are alone here, in the middle of nowhere, on an effectively lawless world. Your only defense has been that few off-worlders knew of this place; that is changed, now, else we would not be here. Your museum is an "X" on a treasure map for fortune seekers and relic hunters. I'm afraid I must agree with your assessment of your situation, here.

You do not strike me as one who would wish to harbor Sith artifacts, or let them fall into the wrong hands. For your own safety, I would implore you to permit us to remove the staff, at least, to a safe location. My benefactor could have a perfect replica fashioned. Labeled as such, and bearing no link to the force, it would not attract any further unwanted attention.

I can help you keep this place from falling into "oblivion and folklore". I would like to. You have seen so much turmoil in your long life- you deserve to be able to eke out a comfortable existence here, continuing to do some small good, in your way.

You can use the museum worthy talent on the staff it dates back to the time of Darth Adendu.

It's worth can't be put in figures.

The man takes a piece of cloth and covers the staff he begs you not to touch it as last time he did he had Nightmares for a month.

He says now he has cleaning to do and asks you to show yourselves out.

You see tears in his eyes, for he feels you've just destroyed his museum.

Yorik stumbled and staggered out of the room of the Sarcophagus, looking dazed, confused, and reaching for his weapon across the room. His eyes were wide with intensity as he sought to take in every bit of movement, every bit of shadow, where anything might lurk or hide. Something he could shoot first. He finally caught his breath and focused on his companions' alarmed faces...

"Guys, something just spoke out to me in my mind." he said. "Something dark... and powerful... and... ominous. It began as a whisper and just said He is Back . When I tried to reach out to sense it, I worried that it might be the same voice that manipulated Imo Kul. But it just laughed mockingly and just grew in power as it became more aware of my presence.

I think we should get Sar Agorn and return here to cleanse this place if it is possible of any Dark Force energies...

Curator, apologies, if we intimidated you unnecessarily. We're here to be liberators and protectors not just tomb raiders and thieves. We will do what we can to help you maintain the histories and lore of this place."

Sar Tells you how to cleanse the place ( Basically Find a light sided relic and put it in the same room, it will balance out the darkness, for now simply don't let anybody touch it and they should be okay ) but your mind .... Hes not sure. He can keep an eye on you but without mindwiping your experiences for the last few days hes not sure how.

Worra chuckles lightly at this. "You arrest one mass-murderer and suddenly everyone thinks you are a do-gooder," Worra says, under his breath but loud enough that he is confident that Astrid can hear it. It seems that Mr. Zando is a genuine servant of the Republic, though he is not beyond using his position to profit himself. It is good to see that Dr. Andunie seems adjusted to this fact. "The Republic won't survive without a few unsavory alliances. Still, I appreciate your aversion to armed robbery, at least when your friends are about."

This is Zenith, right? Kul hasn't suddenly woke up I hope. I know Sar can take care of himself, but that would be more concerning. The following text assumes that it is Zenith:

Worra drew his comlink and spoke calmly into it. "Mr. Kolmoeir, I would appreciate if you would pipe down a bit. If you recall, you have been arrested for the many crimes that you have committed, both through your service to Gonothar and through your own misdoings. Those poor souls you led to their deaths in the slave pits. The pirates that you employer throughout the system, pillaging, ******, murdering whomever didn't pay bribes to Gonothar. Propping up the spice trade. And carrying out Gonothar's most grotesque whims. Not to mention your own transgressions, many of which were well documented in the network that my friend Mr. Ux so kindly investigated. No, Mr. Kolmoeir, we have not violated you or your rights. This was brought upon you by only yourself. Remember, Zenith, no crime goes unpunished."
