Well hell... Ok... Aye what can you tell us of Rakgouls in our vicinity and near the tunnels?

I guess if we are clear of other enemy complicating factors we might want to pursue...

Aye... Can you tell where he's headed off to?

" No Rakgoul lifesigns detected.... Query: wish me to search ruins of palace?

Destination of subject unknown... heading Northwest "

Edited by April

Yorik responds to Shard while listening in on the droid's responses... "Yes, please Shard... and let's head Northwest too if we can, guys and head this problem off. Is that the direction of the Jedi Ruins or the space port?"

Go ahead Ayi, be careful... Don't take risks, just a fly over...

Well lets see a round of hands... Stay the night or pursue crazy eyes...

You know my opinion I say we go out there after crazy eyes

"I am not certain we stand to gain from following him. Though he may not be cordial, we have no reason to suspect an enemy," said Worra, though he was unsure of his own words. The presence of a lightsaber was complicating. What was the mysterious figure up to? Could it really be a wielder of the force? Worra had heard stories of the mystical power honed by the Jedi, though he did not know whether to welcome it or fear it. Worra sighed and nodded to Yorik. " Still, if you insist on following then I will join you. Hesitantly. Hopefully, we can keep the conversation civil. I hope that Confidence can be reserved for the rakghouls."

"If Red Eyes is a Sith, then we've been tasked with neutralizing him, unfortunately. In particular, I suspect that since he's in the tunnels he's in some way responsible for the Rakghouls we've faced."

"We'll learn more about him when we face and defeat him."

OOC: Did I miss this in the thread somewhere? Who tasked us with neutralizing Sith? If its a personal quest of Yorik's, then Worra will follow but does not intend to engage in combat unless the force user is a clear threat or has committed an obvious crime. Otherwise, he'll just be there to talk. As far as Worra is aware, there is nothing illegal or immoral about using the dark side.

The Sound from behind the door ceases.. after a thud and mechanical clanking.

" You are expected to bring proof of removal of the relevant problem, He " he points a stylus at the door " Claimed removal, but spent the time on a certain planet thinking Mr Zando was a fool "

" So much for the Great Veris Forshab... Hunter Extraordinaire "

" No Civilian Casualties..., No antagonizing the Imperials, and if there looks like " his voice lowers " Inquisitors or there ilk bring back anything they have... Mr Zando likes that sort of thing..."

(OOG: Apologies I assumed that Sith were "the ilk" similar to inquisitors....)

Oh gotcha - that seems like a possibility. If the dude turns out to be an Imperial that is trying to undermine the Republic in some way, then yeah absolutely Worra would be pleased to get rid of him, though he's not interested in delivering a pet to Mr. Zando. Preference would be diplomacy over combat, but lets do what is necessary.

(It was implied that it was..... but if you don't think so. )

(Well maybe worra should take lead in negotiations and push for us to go? Also is R'Rowlka coming back?)

I hope he will... Or we've lost two. Want to try to PM him?

(Whose the second?)

(Nevermind)

Yorik, Durrak, Worra, and Shard descend into the tunnels, cautiously following the path indicated by the droids. R'Rowlka monitors their activities from abroad the Golden Hind , keeping an eye out for perimeter breaches by the more daring Rakghouls. The spaceport guns are set to blast anything that breaks through, but R'Rowlka keeps an eye out to prevent the guns from blasting any poor fool who gets mistaken for a Rakghoul.

The heavy, damp air feels cold on Worra's skin. The tunnels are clear enough for a path through, though Yorik's bulk makes it difficult to pass through. At times, his force pike drags along the ceiling, forcing him to duck down. Durrak, Worra and Shard follow, following the quiet beeping of the droid ahead. They move in quiet anxiety, as fear begins to creep through them all. Worra shakes off the feeling, dismissing it as a useless feeling. His Dorian eyes cut through the darkness easily, so there was no need for fear. Still, the persistent sense of dread was undeniable.

Maybe this was crazy... Following some crazy religious lunatic with glowing eyes and some energy blade who is hostile and probably hung around the rakgouls like they were his baby lothcat's.

I mean fragging kriff.

Well he did try and get poor Aye... So yeah, kriff that mother-fragger. Let's get 'em.

Can we make a group perception or survival check to track him down? Maybe Worra makes the check so he can avoid darkness issues, with an upgrade from Shard and 2 boosts (Yorik and the droids?)

"This will not be a easy fight. " Durrak readies his Disc Blade. He senses trouble upcoming.

Yorik wondered aloud as they stalked through the tunnels, "Exactly how do Rakghouls come into being? They're people who've been turned into one by some kind of virus, right? So, what do they have in common with the Dark Side and how do they survive?

Also, do you think we were lucky enough to blow them all up in the palace explosion? Scanners don't indicate any life forms at all so that's GREAT news.

I Frelling hate hunting in caves. I've done it before on Dantooine and I didn't like it then either. How's everybody else holding up? Still g2g?"

There's no rakghouls none... maybe there all dead?

You approach a circular area and the figure is pacing there

" Come to die? Come to speak ? .....Master will be happy .....and enraged.... Metal Bees buzzing, flapping Scratching !!!! Hateful , Hateful ...." He chuckles.. " Mother.... is a spider... Fangs dripping venom,... father was a monster, Who ate all the other boys...when they dropped their toys!! " more laughing ....." Babble, scrabble, scratching clawing biting!!! "

Listen fellow we aren't here to hurt you... much... Why don't you come out of this hole. Come on guy, maybe we can help you, ...get some therapy and a straight jacket you crazy loon... whose this master your talking about? How did you survive those creatures... Hmm...? Musta been hard, let us help.

Who the frag is this fella?

"Greetings, friend!" shouts Worra across the cavern. He can feel his skin grow dry and leathery in anxiety as a chilling wind blows across his face. "We are hear to speak, not die. I see we have a mutual interest in your master. Perhaps you can share some of his - and your - story, and we shall return the favor and share our own. What has brought you to this dark, wretched place?"

Worra nervously awaited a response. He wasn't sure why he was afraid. He and his allies outnumbered the figure four to one, and Durrak and Yorik had already proven to be capable warriors. There was no risk here, and yet Worra could not seem to put down the growing sense of horror within his mind.

" Master was here... the sweet madness... the voice the time ...the .... fire came and burned.... we're you burned like the sweet children ?? Did you see?? .... the Slug is gone and I am King for a day.... like back in the fields of sweet Corellia... "

" Yes my master.... I will...hmmm .. You wish to know ?? He says you can for a price ....

come sit .... we will have spice tea and sip with dainty fingers stretched out yes?? ... each of you must give a toe or an eye or a fingernail... if you want to know... if not then... "

You hear growling

" The last of the babies will have its revenge.. and I will take my tithe "

Worra glances over at his allies, miffed by the odd request. He says quietly to his allies, " Let's not be hasty. If all he wants to do is talk, we can talk. If not, we can let Confidence do the talking." He takes a deep breath through is antitox mask and steps forward to the chair indicated by the man - or creature...?

"Thank you for the hospitality, friend," Worra says, trying his best to remain calm and composed, or at least appear that way. "I'd be delighted to have a cup of tea, and you'll pardon me if I don't offer up my fingers or toes, unless of course a handshake is all you'd like."

Yorik whisperingly jokes, "We can always pay with Shard's arm. Or did we already pay? Let's hope we don't have to now pay with a leg as well. This one sounds like madness has infected his brain. But, I agree that we should keep him talking. If he means the 'last of the babies' was that monster we wounded in the leg in the palace then I'll say we find a new nursery. OK, If stuff goes down then we get back to back to cover our flanks. I don't like being exposed and potentially out in the open. If the loony one attacks, then Durrak can hopefully pin him up against the wall and use his diskblade. If the monster attacks, then we all throw stun grenades and then open fire.

Sound good? Ok, let's go enjoy some tea..."
