Education check to know about New Taris Temple : 1eA+1eP+2eB+5eD 1 success, 5 threat

Yep, I've heard of the temple and know roughly where it is, but all of my information is totally 100% wrong. I've mixed it up with a different site entirely. So I'll just make it up.

Worra thought back to his days at the Diplomatic University of New Taris. It had been years, but he recalled one particularly odd lecture from an Ithorian professor about historical sites in the system. The memory was a bit hazy, but Worra had been paying particular attention that day. Just before the Battle of Ruusan, a thousand years ago, where the great Jedi leader General Hoth defeated the Sith forces led by the Dark Lord Kahn, Hoth traveled to New Taris to establish a shrine. He foresaw the horrors of battle to come, so he laid out of his knowledge in the temple. The New Jedi Order now possesses the secret artifacts of Hoth, but the temple remains as a public homage to the hero. The site is a protected site, but there are several established guide posts that will escort interested visitors inside the temple. Now, this is more rumor than substantiated evidence, but they say there are secret chambers that were locked even to the Jedi. Who knows what Hoth could have hidden in there?

Worra's memory faded, as the professor had gone on to discuss less interesting facets of New Taris trade culture - the type of thing that the university believed an accomplished diplomat ought to know, but frankly had little to do with real world diplomacy.

Excellent. Yorik will take 3 clips and a grenade and make sure to put the painting into the Hind's upper room.

"Perhaps we'll pay the Jedi a visit tomorrow after we finish clearing out the Rakghouls, eh?"

"Don't expect to be friendly to the "Jedi"."

Durrak continues to keep a eye out for the Rakghouls.

Well, I believe that we can get to that figure underground tonight now that the villages are safer now. Also, Durrak, what do you have against the Jedi?

We should probably ask the villagers about the Gand we are holding... He might need to be let out...

Hey Aye, can you bring up Ro on the comm...

"Because the feel they are only ones who should use the Force. They are arrogant fools."

Really? Hmmm... I don't know much about the Jedi but I do know that they or the Force or some kind of spirit ... gifted me with survival when I was lost in caves near their ruins on Dantooine.

So, my Danger Sense may be from the Force... and now that I've been in communion with Sar Agorn's mind, I'm curious to know more about what others think of the Force...

What is it that you believe, Durrak? And how is it counter to the ways of the Jedi?

You feel Sar Agorn ask for permission to speak to you alone...

Until we all decide to head out, Yorik will spend time with Irina and offer her a Stimpack and a drink. He's heard the tales of her prowess as a gunslinger and will ask her to teach him a few of her techniques in case of emergency. It's also a great way to spend the time together in the quiet times before the storm...

(What about the droid group exploring tunnel?)

What about the man in the tunnel Aye picked up? Are we gonna deal with him now or in the morning, if he's friendly he might be lunch by the time daylight hits...

"Yes Sar."

"We have to trust that the man in the tunnels needs rescuing," says Worra to Shard. "I know we can't be sure, but there is no other option. To leave him in the tunnels is to condemn him to an unimaginable death. Yorik, can I count on Confidence to keep us both safe?"

Worra and Yorik make for the tunnels. Worra sets his comlink feed on a constant stream so that anyone in the cockpit of the Golden Hind can monitor their activities, should anything go awry. Worra's JSE droid flies ahead, with a prerecorded greeting set to play should it encounter the man.

"The Jedi abandon my people, The Zeison Sha along time ago. The Jedi said it was to protect us from the Sith. But they forgot about my people and when they discovered us they wanted to take the younger beings and train them to be Jedi. We refused as we had our own traditions. We survived with out them and did not have any need for their ways"

The Droids approach the individual they see a snarling human, it's eyes glowing red.... as the droids try to get a better image of him a red energy blade ignites..... they just manage to avoid as he swings it... It seems it was just for show rather than to cause damage.... " Come and Die ..." he speaks

" I was once Jedi ages past... Long before this... during the great Jedi War... but a few of us departed realising that to only understand one side of the coin was folly....

Do you now judge all who use the name? Is not that also folly too?

.... I have seen Empires Come and go.

I felt the so called chosen one kill anything he was ordered too. yet... yet some of us choose still to preserve the best of the order ...

Wisdom comes with time young one... I faced the Dark Side many times... but will you resist its call ? "

Yorik asked quizzically, "Worra... Shard?.... what is that I'm seeing on the monitor? Cyber eyes? They're RED... What the frell? Yeah, based on his threatening words, I guess we can assume this one is meant to be aggressively negotiated and with Confidence ." He grinned wolfishly and leveled the HBR to the ready position. Ready to unload with a full clip if necessary....

Over the comms he spoke again. "Durrak, I had no idea that the Jedi were baby snatchers and Frell yeah, I can understand why you've no love for their Order. You've given me much to consider."

In his mind, Yorik reached out once more to Sar Agorn. *Sar Agorn, are you familiar with a being with red eyes and what looks to be a mythical lightsaber? I'd heard the tales of such a weapon but not a red one so I'm not sure if there's a particular weakness I should aim for or a threat for which I should prepare.*

"Perhaps we wait," suggested Worra, viewing the recorded images of the man in the tunnels. "We've made an attempt to contact him. He is clearly not in need of rescue, and he poses no imminent threat. The threat we do face - the rakghouls - will be quelled by morning. We can investigate the tunnels more safely then."

If he doesn't need saving and isn't trying to blast us to hell, then I have no interest in poking my head into a hole to track down a dark-sider. But if we are, then I'd rather do one threat at a time. Wait until morning so the rakghouls are quiet. Even then, I'd much rather lure him out with diplomacy or alternatively track down some kind of gas that we could use to smoke him out. Close quarters combat means fighting him on his terms. I'd rather do it on ours.

As he awaited their final decision, Worra kept one ear listened to the conversation between Durrak and Sar Agorn. He had heard of the Jedi order many times. They were the protectors of the Republic, and had served as advisers to the Senate and the Chancellor. But at least in their later years, they had grown complacent with their power, and had begun to act without regard for the Senate and the people they served. This was a fault of the system, not any particular individual, but the system also proved to have no check on the Jedi authority. There are suggestions even that the traitor Emperor Palpatine himself and his right hand man, Darth Vader, were both secretly Jedi. Whether the New Republic needed the help of the Jedi remained to be seen, but Worra was confident that no institution ought to be able to act without oversight or with impunity, be it Jedi, Sith, or Zeison Sha. But Worra was prudent. Seeing no benefit in further agitating his allies, he kept these opinions to himself.

* the Lightsaber is used by many individuals who choose to use the elegant weapon.... It might be A force user, Or simply Somebody trained in its combat... The red eyes May indicate force powers however it simply could be implants... the force is hard to read here *

Woah shizz!!!! Get outta there Aye!! Well certainly not friendly folks... Do we go after him or leave him down there?

Aye relays a hurried affirmative, and zips out of the tunnel and through the hole in the floor where they fought the Rakghouls earlier.

Zyi arrives at the Golden Hind shortly after the others, slightly worried at Aye's lack of communication with R'Rowlka...

(Will edit if necessary, was the medbay we searched on the golden hind or in the village? I assumed village)

*You need to learn to tamper that hate with discipline... Come to me after this. I want to show you something*

*Elegant weapon? Really? Well, now I'm curious. Ahhh, ok. Sure, I'll go with the Cyber eyes theory as that's a more likely explanation since he's underground and they're probably useful for lighting his way...*

Yorik sighed, "I hate leaving an enemy alone when they will have time to plot and scheme against us. You all know me by now and you know that I prefer to tackle problems first rather than wait for them to come to me. Worra, Shard... Since we're already here I say we finish him off but if you really believe we should wait and let him gather his strength then so be it. We focus on the Rakghouls then..."

Well hell... Ok... Aye what can you tell us of Rakgouls in our vicinity and near the tunnels?

I guess if we are clear of other enemy complicating factors we might want to pursue...

Aye... Can you tell where he's headed off to?
