(Not sure if I get a boost from worra, and how the medpack effects my roll ill add it here later)

Zyi worked furiously, applying compression and ripping cloth into strips to tie off an artery. Slowly the blood stopped gushing.

You manage to stem the bleeding however you feel you've broken several ribs doing so.

Healing four strain, as I was in pretty rough shape between the noise grenade and the 5 strain at the end.

Worra pulled himself together. He needed to collect himself quickly or his quarry might escape or die. His exhaustion was growing, but he knew he had to push through.

There's no investigation in this system. Things usually fall under perception or survival, though could be streetwise or skulduggery on occasion as well. I'll roll survival as I think that's probably the most appropriate for sifting through wreckage (though perception is the same for Worra). Boost is from JMS's assistance in the sky, scanning for movement in the wreckage and feeding images to my datapad.

Searching for the Majordomo : 3eA+1eB+3eD 2 failures

Forgot to add the boost from Aye as well:

Boost from Aye : 1eB 1 success, 1 advantage
b-s-a.png

Net: 1 failure, 1 advantage - No sign of the majordomo, but looks like Aye found something else that might be useful.

Worra's droid scanned the wreckage for the Hutt's majordomo, but nothing seemed to be moving. He checked the data feed from JMS, without success. The palace had been reduced to rubble. If Zenith made it out entirely, he may have survived. If not, the majordomo was probably blasted to pieces by Cletus' concoction.

Worra climbed atop a larger bit of debris to see if he could spot any avenues of escape. Clearing it off, he realized he was atop the Hutt's mostly-intact throne. But despite his vantage point, and though his Kel Dor eyes cut through the growing darkness with ease, he could spot nothing.

"Zenith, you scum-sucking mynock!" shouted Worra, suspecting that his words would not be heard. "You may have escaped Worra Kokru today, but you have not escaped justice. Though it may not be me, I assure you, justice will find you. Justice will claim you. And justice shall punish your misdeeds."

Worra's voice echoed across the ruins, but there was no reply. He slumped down on the plasteel throne and sighed.

"Beep-boop." A metal voice came from behind him. Worra turned to see Aye floating. The droid's onboard screen was re-playing an image. Worra peered at it, momentarily confused. "Wrrr-bebeep," Aye insisted.

Worra's eyes narrowed. Suddenly he realized what the cam droid was trying to show him. He drew his comlink and radioed his allies. "Zenith is gone. Or maybe dead, I can't tell. But there's a working terminal in here. Aye spotted it. Somehow survived the blast. If we can get into it, maybe we can get a better picture of what happened here."

" You will Never Get me you Foolish Wannabee holojurnolist... you hear back " How he survived you have no idea

Eldrith looks stunned but otherwise hands you the crate hes winded and cant speak yet

The doc descends in like a pod type craft it rocks to the ground then thuds... a ramp descend and a spider creature emerges... ( its an 6 ft spider ), It holds a medical bag wears white robes and has a lamp on its head.....

" kthssssssss..." it says " kthssssssss " Its mandibles chatter .. the translators cant seem to translate him.....

Quote

This is amazing! Spider Doc is the ultimate team up of two great nemeses: Spiderman and Doc Ock.

*Sar Agorn, is Eldrith ok? Can you determine if he's been mind tampered or is he just stunned from the explosion?*

"Eldrith?" Yorik asked tentatively. "What's in the crate, buddy? How are you doing?" He took the crate from Eldrith and set it down upon the ground carefully. He glanced inside before beginning his examination of Eldrith and dosing him with a Stimpack.

Suddenly, Yorik gasped upon seeing the 6' tall spider creature scuttling toward them. *Oh, FRELL! Sar Agorn, is he friend or foe? And can you translate for us?*

Sar replies "he will be fine, he's just out of sorts "

Sar seems offended by your preconceptions but answers " The sentient wants to help "

*Apologies, friend. It just brings back old fears. Greetings, doctor, and thank you for coming so quickly. Our friend is deeply wounded and needs your assistance immediately. *

Yorik then looked in the crate to see what Eldrith was carrying and whether it was important to get it back to the ship now or whether it could wait until after they tended to their wounded and completed their sweep of the area.

Gonna be one helluva war wound, but you might just make it out.

The blood finally stops gushing. He sighs... Then looks over to the Doc signalling he wanted to hand over the patient care responsibilities.

Well... Certainly not the weirdest thing I've seen today...

Well whose the new guy?

He goes to lift himself up but he doesn't take into account the missing arm, and falls forward planting his chin in a puddle of Cletus blood.

Oooomph!!

Just nasty... This has been the most asinine way of making 2000cr... I'm gonna get that wookie!! **** kriff-off Furball feckless droch bitten, lay-a-bout lazy lounger, cake job guard duty fragging two bit swindling son of a banker... Bantha-breath idler!

He mumbles a few more insults to himself and tops; looking up at the "spider-man".

Well hello... Sorry bout the mess... I.. I usually try to keep the office tidier. Must be the housekeepers day off... I do apologize.

Still on his belly he reaches out with his remaining hand for a shake. Just then his data breaker beeps with news from Aye.

Worra spins around upon hearing Zenith's voice. "I'm coming for you scumbag," says Worra. "You are under arrest for aiding and abetting Gonothar's crimes, which include extortion, piracy, propagation of slave trade, murder, the development and distribution of biological weapons, and numerous trade violations, not to mention your support of his exceedingly bad taste."

Worra draws his sporting blaster and points it in the direction of the voice. His eyes narrow, sensing for movement in the darkness. "I am no sector ranger, but in the absence of an agent of the law, a citizen may act in a ranger's stead to arrest a suspect of terrorism or murder, in accordance with New Taris Statute 17.47. I intend to do so now."

The Kel Dor's eyes still had not spotted the sniveling majordomo. The smoldering flames and setting sun had blinded him and hindered his search. But Worra could hear the human, and he stepped slowly toward the voice. He checked his sporting blaster to ensure that the stun setting was engaged. He had to tread carefully. He knew the law, and he did not want Zenith to escape on a technicality.

Can I see the majordomo? Is the net result basically that he got the jump on me, or did he escape?

For all his bravado you see Zenith buried up to shoulder level in rubble.. despite his gnashing and insults... you captured him.

It seems to be the finest collection of Kel dor antique pottery probably worth quite a bit.

A droid follows the spider creature and he puts one of his limbs over Cletus face... as the creature hisses and snaps its mandible like appendages the droid translates only basic phrases

" Species unknown.... Probability of death 85% "

" Patient name ? "

" Must take to Queen... Hope.... food, can help yes? "

The townsfolk are quite scared now and mention nobody has returned from the doctors care nobody.... even people who go to visit patients

Edited by April

Yeah.... Noo... Cletus ain't having no royal visits... Back to our ship he goes.

I should just shoot that droid now.

Zyi sits up and slides his hand into the folds of his cloak a finger on his ion blaster.

Whose that? Who are you?

He addresses the droid, nodding towards the spider-medic.

Yorik sighed after realizing that their mission wasn't done yet on this planet. "OK, Eldrith, you're obviously shell shocked right now. Perfectly understandable. Just get this crate back to the ship and treat yourself as best you can..."

Then, he turned to deal with the more immediate and urgent matter.

ANOTHER Frelling Bug hunt... I should have known. Here comes the hurt all over again. Yorik could already feel the fear rising in his throat as old memories threatened to push forward. Again, he saw the horrific deaths of his platoon mates in those tunnels under Khoonda. The intense firefights they had while trying to escape the Laigrek swarms... He cocked his blaster rifle and tilted his head to listen for telltale chirping shrieks reflexively as if to be ready for another Laigrek to jump out again.

*Sar Agorn, this is not a very good doctor if he'd rather recycle sentient beings for food rather than serve as a doctor and actually help them. This is what I was worried about. Also, could this "Queen" be the source of all these Rakghouls and the monster that we fought earlier?*

"OK, guys... Let's accompany Cletus back to this "Queen" and see if we can resolve this issue permanently." Yorik said without any hint of the fear that he currently felt.

Keep it together. Just keep it together. Bugs. Frell.

The droid has no intelligence its merely a mobile translator

" Healer... name insignificant, Life ....matters... not death yes? ... Come see unity... understand yes? "

*Ahhhh, OK.... That sounds good. Again, I apologize for my fears. It's just that I've been caught underground in the past and hunted by Laigreks... Large Mantis like creatures that are absolutely vicious. Where you see one Laigrek there are always dozens more close by and they use their forelimbs like serrated swords. Most effectively too, I might add. Seeing this spider doctor brought back my experiences with the Laigreks so my apologies.*

"Yes, let us visit this Queen because what we can do to prep and recover will be helpful in the long run. Also, we need more intel on what the Hutt had been doing, right? Shard, hustle over to that terminal that Worra found and rip everything you can from the datafiles, please. Worra, let's get your prisoner into a holding cell that we have on board our ship. Zenith will be the survivor we bring back from this mission and he can spill his guts for the Banking Guild, the Hutt, and the authorities."

Then dropping his voice to a whisper so no villagers overheard Yorik then almost inaudibly, " But, he mentioned taking what he deserved... Can you find out from him if there's a vault or something around here that we can also access? We can split the remaining treasure with the survivors of these local towns once we get our first picks in."

Hustle?!?!

Yes suhhhhh! He said sarcastically. He knew Worra probably ment nothing by it but he reacted instinctively to bring told to "hustle".

He followed Worra's directions to the terminal and plugged in.

Aye.... Survey the area....

Oh and guys... What the frell is this voice in my kriffing head?

Edited by TheShard

Yorik surveyed the wreckage around them of the Hutt's Palace. Still worried that something dark might still lurk under the rubble...

"Sorry about that. Sometimes, I fall back into my military habits... and you're not military." Yorik grinned sheepishly. Then replied, "Are you referring to Sar Agorn? Is he speaking to you also?"

Who the frell is Sar Agorn?

(What's difficulty on terminal slice?)

"Sar Agorn is the Force sensitive friend on board the Golden Hind that we know, remember?" Yorik was confused because he thought that everyone made introductions on board the Golden Hind. But, he realized that Shard wasn't actually in the chamber of Sar Agorn and therefore wouldn't know him. (Shard was obtaining himself his very own droid)

Edited by Cartergame

Whaaaa...??

Who the errrzzz...xxzzzzz...zz.zzzttttt... Ah, shizz.

The cyberjack in Zyi's head zzz's to life as it connects to the terminal. Speculation on this new fact would have to wait.

Worra let out a ghastly chuckle through his mask. " Zenith Kolmoeir," he said trodding over to the half-cyber human sticking out of the debris. "I hope you're happy to see me. Just think, if I hadn't found you then you'd be stuck here over night. And I doubt you would have lasted the night with these Rakghouls tromping about."

"Enough talk," retorted the beaten majordomo. "You've lectured me enough today. Now get me out of this rockpile and throw me in whatever cell you have waiting for me."

Worra nodded, seeing no need to torment his captive any further. carefully checked his prisoner for weapons or errant flashbangs before he dug the majordomo out of the debris and marched him back toward Squirbos. About halfway down the hill, he spotted his allies. Cletus was being operated upon by what looked like a giant spider. "Old codger doing alright?" Worra asked Yorik.

Yorik shook his head. "He may live, but we need to take him to the Doctor's 'Queen.'" It looked as if a shiver ran down Yorik's spine as he said the final word.

"The sun has already set," noted Worra. "The Rakghouls will be on the prowl soon. We should hole up for the night, and then get Cletus where he needs to go in the morning. We can keep him pumped full of stim for the time being so that he lasts through the night."

Quote

Is Squirbos the best place to hole up? I don't think venturing out right now is a good idea unless we absolutely have to. I'll try to track down some binders or electroshackles to lock my prisoner to the bar so that he doesn't slip out on us, though I don't imagine he will be fleeing to the rakghouls. Can I make a vigilance check to see if I recall binders anywhere in town? Or does somebody have a pair?

If need be, we can take my landspeeder to the queen too. That might a reasonable way out since there's no way the rakghouls will chase us down in the speeder.

(I have 2 pairs of restraints)

(1 for the bad guys and another for the Bad Girls... ;) )

"By Landspeeder is great, Worra," Yorik said. "Thank you. Also, Shard are you able to access the guns at the dock from that terminal? If you are, then we can take them over, drop off our prisoner at the Hind and dump him in the holding cell, check on Eldrith and R'Rowlka, and try to find Durrak and Cracax as well."

"So i was not the only one that sensed the Force".

"Durrak?" Yorik smiled upon hearing his lost friend's voice over the comms. After a moment, he answered, "Well, I don't like to think of it so much as the Force. For me, it's really more just my Danger Sense that helps to keep me alive and give me that much more of an edge in staying alive... I never thought about it being the Force until meeting Sar Agorn aboard the Golden Hind . But, I had an experience back on Dantooine once that... Well, it must've been something because I'd swear that the feeling has stayed with me ever since... "

Quote

So how are we proceeding? We don't want to hang around outside at night, right? There are still rakghoul swarms that will get very antsy soon. Here's what I understand the options to be:

1) Take Cletus to the queen immediately.

2) Hole up for the night in Squirbos or the Town Hall and hope Cletus survives

3) Head back to the Golden Hind, leaving this town behind entirely.

Personally, Worra's vote would be for #2, then head to the Queen in the morning. He views this as the undesirable but pragmatic choice, as we are already pushing our luck staying out here after dark at all. But if it begins to look like the stim isn't going to keep Cletus alive overnight then he would take Cletus in the speeder to the queen.
