Done.

The body jerks uncontrollably... as if it's having a massive seizure.... just then he seems to be changing back to...... human...

"Mother of Moons, What have we done!"

Yorik had seen much bloodshed and the terrors of combat but even he was horrified by the transformation.

"What...the.... Everloving Frell is happening to him? Guys, stand back and don't let him explode and contaminate you!"

Yorik sighed before lowering Confidence to the ground as he stepped forward and attached the Durasteel muzzle and binders to the monster turned man. He moved quickly and efficiently to secure him before any signs of the transformation might reverse.

"Shard, give me a hand! We may be able to save him yet." Worra dropped to his knees by the collapsed rakghoul. He placed a hand on the man and whispered, "You are back. It's all going to be alright."

"whaa... How dare you... I have you know I am a Nabooian Gentlemen.... My Stars what have you done, why is this thing on my face...... Sherriff.. Sherriff... You fitlthy.. Vagabon..... "

He passes out...as the stun beam kicks in finally.... also there is a distinct lack of clothing....

"Oh, Frell..." Yorik said in response. "Do you realize how many potential nobles we fragged in that blast and fighting them off in the tunnels in Irina's storehouse? I never thought of the Rakghouls as being... just... people.... They were bad enough as monsters! But, can you imagine if this plague gets unleashed in Corellia or Coruscant or anywhere in the Core? We're not just talking thousands, hundreds of thousands, or even millions...

"We're talking billions of people would be infected... with a capital B! It would be genocide! Entire planets and systems would have to get... wiped." Yorik's normally strong voice shuddered when he considered the level of devastation that would be unleashed if that madman on Korruban continued to have his way.

"Frell that guy. He's gonna have to end. We can't let this happen."

"We have to get to the temple. Maybe there will be answers there."

A... A... Shizz... A... Rakgoul infection introduces a change that's normally permanent.... There's never been a cure... Or a reversal... Holy frell! What is this..

( so shall we take it your taking the "prisoner" to your ship and head to the temple? )

@Edgehawk that's your Que

(I'd assume so, that's at least my intention)

"What if this not the true Rakghoul infection but something that mimics it. If the galaxy's nobles and leaders are being changed then we are helping a power change. "

Yorik nodded at Durrak's suggestion. "Well, we certainly need more answers and, as brilliant as I think you gents are in your own fashion, we need a genetic specialist or a doctor to figure out what the frell is going on here. & yeah... Let's go check out that temple..."

"Agreed. Yorik, I think there's a serving cart in the storage room that could serve as half-decent stretcher. I'm sure one of the homesteaders wouldn't mind watching over him while we are off. There's a good chance he is a local, so they might be able to connect him up with friends or family."

I'm afraid I'm not that kind of Doctor, but I should be of some use regarding the temple ruins.

A human female detaches herself from a shadowy wall nearby, slowly approaching the party.

Astrid Andunie. I work for Mr Zando. I was otherwise occupied, else I should have probably been on this mission from the start. Thanks for doing the heavy lifting, in any case.

She extends a hand to the nearest of her new comrades.

It's not documented on the guide, the ruins rose to the surface somehow. You can have an underworld check? with 4 purples?

Can I do Education with 5 purples?

(Should I roll a Knowledge check to cover the research I compiled just prior to joining the party? Lore? Education? Outer Rim? What difficulty)?

Let's just hand wave things for now as I'd like to keep rolling to the minimum.

You are prepared. The ruins are listed as a Jedi watch station back before the great Hyperspace war. While the relics in the building are supposed to be minimal of note there was supposedly a few locked away items.

The building lifted in the last 5/6 solar years by an unknown individual, your orders are, find any relics and bring them back to MR Zando for his personal Collection...

Zando... Everyone works for Zando, Worra thought to himself. What's his angle in all of this? The Republic needs allies, and its good to hear that the Banking Union is working to promote the rule of law. But what this is - what we are - is bordering on vigilantism. Perhaps I should have one of my contacts do some research, at least after we get this kriffin' communications block lifted.

"Dr. Andunie, is it? Yet another Zando lackey? Welcome to New Taris, or at least what is left of it." Worra reached out a hand to greet the newcomer. "Things have gotten a bit out of sorts, but we are putting it back together. Tell us, what do you know of the ruins, or perhaps the infestation?"

Shakes hand.

Call me Astrid. Do you have a name, or are you just a lackey? Mr Zando has been good to me personally, and his employ has proven more interesting than working in some dusty library on Archaeo-Prime ( and his employ is not so easy to leave, she thinks to herself ).

The ruins were a Jedi Watch Station, predating the Great Hyperspace War.

Oh- and if you see a big, creepy-looking droid scuttling around on six legs, that's just Spidey .

Edited by Edgehawk
changed SPY-D's legs from 8 to 6 to match pic in EtU

Yorik removed his combat glove before extending his hand to the sharp archaelogist. Based on first impressions, she seemed to be fit and surprisingly likable for a librarian... Which also meant she was probably really smart.

He smiled warmly and introduced himself, "Hi, I'm Yorik Vonn of Dantooine. A pleasure to meet ya, Doc, and work with you since you've been sent by Mr. Zando. Based on what I know of these rascals," he nodded toward his compatriots, "You're probably very good at what you do. That's a very good thing and I, for one, am glad to welcome you into our motley group!" :)

"And you said a Jedi "Watch Station"? What did they watch?"

"Most likely the Jedi were watching out for themselves."

Hey, Yorik, a pleasure. Shakes hand, quick smile, back to business . If the Jedi were any good at "watching out for themselves," there would probably be more of them left. The stations in the Outer Rim were primarily to watch for further Sith incursions, though some became defacto frontier temples, and repositories for learning. And relics, which is why we have been sent here.

Turning slightly to address the Zabrak who had just spoken: And you are? (extends hand)

"Durrak. "

An old looking Zabrak is now standing in the entryway of the temple...

He's dressed oddly, as if someone had to improvise Jedi robes from scrap. He doesn't Cary a lightsaber but a Vibrosword, attached to his belt... he says nothing, but rests himself against the doorway..
