"Credits, credits, credits," the Kel Dor mused loudly, his voice booming through the palace. "Don't be too greedy, Zenith. It'll get you killed, Zenith." Worra spoke slowly, trying his best to play to their quarry's fears. "Don't want to wind up like your old master, Zenith. He doesn't look pretty at all anymore. Why don't you be a good little runt and come out where we can see you."

Yep - I'll give it to a more accomplished journalist who can turn it into a real story. Just putting gory pictures on the holo-net won't be much of a message, but a good story will.

I'd like to make a perception check (or maybe survival/streetwise?) to track down Zenith. What would the difficulty be? - Oh, looks like Aye is already doing this. Should that be a boost?

" ironic Isn't it Worra You came here to Pay me tribute? Do your new friends know? "

" ill take what I am owed thank you... Then when you and your friends Fly away Ill be Lord here... Go slink off back to that Drunks house! "

The droid flies down the left path... you hear a beep of alarm ... then it quickly retreats .... " 3 coming left side... Possibly more "

Do you want to aim? or prepare?

Seeing the cam droid return hastily, Worra drops behind an overturned sabacc table in one corner of the main hall. He signals to the others to prepare, flipping the safety off his sporting blaster.

"Steady now. Hope you lot have some experience with these things. Cletus' scattergun has been more than they could handle, so I haven't actually had to try my blaster on 'em yet."

Yorik had been reliving traumatic memories of his fallen battalion laying dead and half eaten around him as he saw the dead half eaten corpse of what was the Hutt overlord.

But, he snapped out of it when AYE notified the group of the incoming Rakghouls.

Aiming his new found flamethrower, he prepared to light the enemy up and burn them all.

Is Zenith within short range? If so, I'll use scathing tirade on him. If he's not but he can still hear me, can I attempt it at a higher difficulty?

I'll use the roll to gauge what happens, but then I'll definitely write it out:

Sounds like he is trembling in his boots! Zenith suffers 3 strain and one setback to his next check, and I'll grant an auto-upgrade to the next PC's attack vs the Rakghouls.

"There's no more hiding, Zenith," called Worra from behind the sabacc table, his voice sounding almost like a growl through his mask. "There's no need for this mess, but its the path you have chosen. Poor, stupid Zenith. We will break through these critters that you have unleashed. And once we kill them, we will find you, we will capture you, and we will feed you piece by piece to your pets," Worra paused to gauge the effect of his words. He could hear the heightened breathing of the majordomo through the hallways. Fear was sinking into him. Worra nodded to Shard, letting him know to unleash fury on the critters. "What's your plan, Zenith? Slip by us with a fistful of credits? Every underworld scum this side of Nar Shadaa will have herad about how you let Gonothar die. Do you really think the Hutts won't be coming for you? Do you really think your credits will protect you? Of course, Zenith, it doesn't have to be this way. You could give yourself up, Zenith. No being fed to the Rakghouls. No needing to explain yourself to Hutt bounty hunters. We could help you find a way out, Zenith. Let me tell you, Zenith, these Rakghouls don't want you to surrender, Zenith, because then they don't get to sink their slimy teeth into you."

Anyone need a cocktail?

He puts the blaster away and holds a two cocktails by the bottle neck. He holds one out in offering.

The man remains oddly silent... but you hear the creatures coming from multiple directions

(Ooc: you've basically stunned him, he's quietly trying to hunker down until there's a winner )

Ill wait for other players to say what there doing before I advance beyond here

(he intends to aim after handing the cocktail off... hoping to hit a leading group... or the big guy)

Let's get a few and bag and drag one back with us. We shouldn't hold ground long, but a planned retreat to the village trap...

(can i have Aye assist for the timing of the throws in some way? Maybe beeping an equivalent of "now!"? As he spots for the group?)

(Not sure he has any kind of targeting software... but sure .. green dice sound okay? )

(Well no but he probably could make a general call I was thinking a boost die but green is a ok!)

(Sorry all. Family Day and I've been offline most of the day... )

Yorik wasn't as effective with the Flamethrower as he would have liked to be.

But, he still illuminated the area where they were pouring out and made the Rakghouls stand out as easier targets for the others.

After handing off the flamethrower to Cracax, he went back to his favorite, Confidence, and right away he realized his dilemma. He could shoot one but the rest would continue forward unimpeded.

2eP+1eA+2eD+1eB : 2 failures, 2 advantage [2eP=S, A/A] [1eA=S] [2eD=F/F, F/F] [1eB=-]

So, in a precise military maneuver Yorik lobbed 2 grenades and then returned to using the flamethrower.

Though Worra cannot see it from where he hid behind the sabacc table, he could easily picture the scene on the other side. The human stood furiously spreading flame across the hall, lighting the ghouls on fire before they whither and perished. An indicator on the side of Worra's antitox mask began to flash, telling him that the air was beginning to fill with smoke. The mask would hold in this for several more minutes, but it was beginning to have to work on high power to keep the Kel Dor breathing.

Despite the flames, the hordes seemed to be growing, continuing their tromp down the corridor. Worra poked his head out to see if he could spot a door control or some other means of slowing the seemingly endless assault of rakghouls.

Can I make a perception check to spot some way to slow or even trap them? Also, I'm a little confused about how combat/initiative works. Are we not doing initiative order, and do the NPCs not get a chance to act?

Combat in PbP usually ends up very clunky or is largely ignored and you breeze through it.

Standard Ghouls have extremely low initiative.. so they would go last anyway.. you've killed 4 also you've used up all the flame throwers ammo.

You hear the metallic voice saying " no!, not now!! " ...... a blaster shot rings off and then screaming

However through all the carnage a extremely large creature bursts through.. it makes a beeline towards you all.

it throws a chunk of masonry at Yorik .. and hits him for two damage...

It roars in rage... it's eyes glowing.... The Dark side crackles around the creature... almost shielding it...

(This is an extremely hard creature creativity dealing with it will earn bonuses... )

Realizing the creature was upon them, Worra turned and pointed his sporting blaster at the rampaging Rakghoul. Hold it steady... squeeze slowly... just like Cletus said, he thought, hoping his inexperience would not prove costly to his newfound allies.

(aimed twice plus one for the sporting blaster accuracy, and I assumed that he had one rank of adversary) Given that its trudging through a pile of dead rakghouls to get to us, I'll spend three advantage to immobilize it temporarily (if that's too powerful, then just make it have to take an extra maneuver to break free)

Karrabast! Worra's blast sung through the creature's matted fur but missed its flesh entirely. The creature paused and roared with a feverish scream and stomped both of its feet, snapping the bones of the dead Rakghouls piled below it. But when it lifted its foot again, the bloody femur of another dead creature had splintered into its foot, momentarily pinning it. Realizing it was stuck, it let out an impotent groan as it attempted to lurch forward.

Creative & Stylish! "Nice one, Worra!" Yorik shouted and did his best to inspire everyone to greatness. "Alright, everyone! This is our Moment! It's Do or Die, and make sure your droid captures our heroics for posterity, Shard! Stay of out of harm's way, Aye!"

His shoulder throbbed with dull pain where it had born the brunt of the masonry chunk flung at him by the creature. Thankfully, his Berethron armor had absorbed most of the impact and his repeated training allowed him to hold his shots steady as he fired upon such a monstrous creature.

Taking advantage of the fact that it was immobilized after impaling its foot on the bone underneath it, Yorik aimed carefully once again and focused his fire as much as he could on the monster.

"Somebody get that Blast Gel on it while I keep it occupied!" Yorik shouted.

2eP+1eA+2eB+3eD : 1 failure, 2 advantage [2eP=-, A/A] [1eA=A/A] [2eB=-, S] [3eD=-, Th/Th, F/F]

Even with his Heavy Blaster Rifle, Yorik was unable to penetrate whatever the thing's hide had been augmented with by the Dark Forces that had shaped this creature. Still, he did his best and held his ground knowing the worst was yet to come...

Meanwhile Durrak is keeping watch where the mutants previously came from. Makes a perception roll.

(is there any beams or things that could collapse on top of the creature? or could the floor be collapsed under it? I'm thinking of using the gel I have that burns through ship hulls. Also what would it take to to knock this thing out? Can any of the restraints i have hold it? Is there any computer terminals, or power conduits?)

Actually, how about if we blow a hole in the ceiling & wall and let the sunlight shine in?

Or, if you can get the Blastgel on the creature that will make it burn, right?

Worra took a deep breath and rolled a pre-set noise grenade across the floor. 15 seconds, he thought. Better not waste them.

Worra spun out of his hiding place to face the beast, as it bore down upon his allies. "Hey maggot, you're looking pretty hungry!" he shouted, firing a shot from his sporting blaster that bounced harmlessly off the creature's carapace. Its monstrous head swiveled to face Worra. The battered sabacc table was starting to feel like a poor defense. "Ever tasted Dorian flesh? Here, come have a taste!" Worra shouted again. His second shot hit more cleanly, but the pinprick did little to deter the creature as it lumbered toward Worra. He began to back away slowly, knowing fully how costly a mistake in the next moment would be.

Standing firm as I lure it, but I don't make it out of the blast radius. Dice pool for explosion (1 boost for aim and 1 boost for using a blast weapon weapon in tight quarters)

Blowing the noise grenade under it : 2eA+1eD+2eB 2 successes, 3 advantage

Noise grenade does 6 stun damage to the ugly and to me, and concusses the ugly (he is staggered for one round).

The creature stepped forward, edging closer to the blinking noise grenade as Worra counted down in his head. 9...8...7.... It seemed intent on following Worra. 6...5...4.... Suddenly, it paused, and turned back toward Yorik. 3...2... If he didn't act now, it would be too late. "Come on!" shouted Worra, stepping forward, putting himself dangerously close to the blast radius. 1... "Eat me!" The creature swiveled again, drool dripping from its jaw. It stepped forward toward Worra, crunching the bodies below its feet, when the green light on the side of the grenade turned red.

For a moment, a shriek buffeted Worra's ears. He flung up his hands to cover them, but it was no use. Then he could hear nothing, though he could feel the ringing. There was a sharp pain from within his skull. He stumbled backward into an alcove, struggling to regain his senses. A moment later he re-opened his eyes. The ringing was still there, but he could see before him the monster had let up. It was standing in the middle of the chamber. It looked like it was roaring in fury or agony, though Worra could hear nothing...
