(OK I'll look them up later today and retro post the results, you don't have to hold up the story)
Alchemical Problems IC RPG thread
"Alright guys, this is it!" Yorik said excitedly as he walked out of his room in full combat gear. His Berethron Armor was well worn with various scores, scars, and grooves from several campaigns. His force pike and Heavy Blaster Rifle were currently slung behind him but ready for quick release. His Grav Chute was attached to his armor and his utility belt was loaded with grenades, stimpacks, and synthrope . He carried his backpack slung over one shoulder and he was ready for action.
"No women and no kids but everything else in our path gets blazed tonight. What do the scanners show?"
Edited by Cartergame(What are you scanning exactly the port, or the Sub orbital platform? Both require very easy computer rolls, 1purple )
Shard? You want to do the honors and scan them both?
...and then the port... barely. But good thing the computer is doing most of the work...
(& I'm logged into Orokos now...so here! Success)
The Platform seems to have quite a lot of life there.... Odd it says on the navcomputer It is Abandoned
The Port seems to have nominal life signs.... Maybe Its just Rodents??... and the Port is Automated?.... Odd it says here you have Clearance to land... Is somebody expecting you?
Ok, We'll let's go ahead and land then since we have clearance. Before we do, let's prep the ship for a fast exit with possible gun battle on the way out...
Let's do a flyover folks, looks like the Intel is not good. Let's assume it's hostile until we find out otherwise, better for not dying.
Kriff this mess! We need better info.
I'm going to go ahead and plug in. See if there's anything to learn from slicing their Holonet connection. Anyone think this might be a bad idea? We need more info for the drop in...
Also we can drop Aye early if we can get this yacht close enough...
Edited by TheShardIf you want a fly over narrate it... and no roll is necessary...
(I was proposing it to the other PC s didn't wanna assume)
(what's the difficulty for slicing into their Holonet from the ship, that's if I can... Also whose piloting?)
(Slicing into the Hutts holonet will be hard 3 purples... for the people hiding on the orbital platform... They only have a rudimentary one.. so one. )
(I'll do orbital first then Hutt's if I need more info)
Slicing the orbital station's computer w/ data breaker
:
2eA+2eP+2eB+1eD
4 successes, 1 advantage
(Wow, that's how you SLICE!) :-)
(PS no in route droid stuff, decided against it)
OK, Yorik was holding on flying because we had a Sharpshooter/ Hotshot somewhere that may have gone for a catnap in his bunk. But, if no 1 else will, he'll jump to take command of the stick. He's still calling for his copilot to help though... Or the pilot since he thought he was the Co-pilot...
2eA+1eP+2eD
:
1 failure, 1 threat, 1 Triumph
[2eA=-, A] [1eP=Tr] [2eD=F/F, Th/Th]
"An abandoned platform teeming with life. I don't like it," he half growled, staring at the platform. "We know anything about it besides the fact it is suppose to be abandoned?"
He sits down in the co-pilot's seat, half mumbling about not having a real clue about what he's doing and how he doesn't think he'll mess things up too bad.
Yorik assures Cracax, "More hands, eyes, and ears will always be better than just two and trust me when I say your presence is most welcome!"
As the realization that the ship is under control sinks in, he starts to relax a little.
"So... anyone wanting to guess what the welcoming committee is going to be like?" he asked with a forced laugh.
(are we cleared to land PlanetSide or at the orbital platform?)
"i have a bad feeling about this."
It had to be said.

The orbital platform only has basic Holonet services. You see several messages that are rerouted through other Connections in order to mask their origins. Though oddly enough None are directed to or coming from the Planet Bellow.

While it's quite bumpy you see the Port does indeed look empty... a few fire fighting droids, as well as maintenance seem to look up but other than this there's no life .... that you can see.

(The Planet)
(what would it take to track the signals)
Suggestion... Let's scan this orbital platform. Something fishy is going on...
Looks at the servant droid for comment, then continues.
Someone is rerouting it's Holonet signal trying to obscure something... Does that platform have any weapons?
Edited by TheShard( two successes on a hard roll 3 purples.. ill be rolling a resist roll here.. )
"The Orbital Pppp....laaaatform was once home to the Survivors.... of a Bombing campaign thousands of years ago... it was to be left empty as a Mem...memmorial... *fzzt* "
The scans only show basic defences... even the Cannons on the pleasure craft you are on could rip through them....
