Forgive me for poor search fu, but I thought I once saw a talent that increased the chance of severing limb on a critical, but now cannot find anything.

Am I misremembering or can someone direct me?

Lethal blows gives +10 to critical roles, but I think you refer to the lightsaber crystal in the seeker book that is loosely based on a vorpal sword and has a similar name that escapes me at the moment

I believe you are referring to the Varpeline with the triumph for maim ability.

And there's the Martial Artist talent ... which names escapes me now. It's a superior or supreme version of an already existing talent that lets you pick (once per session and costing strain and a destiny point, I believe) a Hard level crit ... isn't limb removal within that range?

Based on responses, I was probably misremembering the crystal as a talent.

Yeah, there's no talent for direct limb dismemberment.

Instead, you'd have to roll a high enough result on the critical injury chart, and I want to say that removed limbs falls under a Daunting difficulty critical injury, putting it out of the reach of the Precision Strike series of talents.

That leaves the Varpeline crystal if you really want your Force user to focus on limb removal as a way of dealing with threats.

Just checked. Maimed (permanently lost limb) is result 101 to 105, so Hard severity. Bouhm. That talent is a complete and utter hipster beard, with twirly moustache and everything.

Supreme precision strike can only be used once per encounter though, and only with a brawl check

Yep, so you can't cut off an arm but you can certainly rip it off, judo chop it off, bite it off, kick it off... headbutt it off...
