Trying to build on a fleet that is a bit caught in two minds. I wanted to go the defender route but couldn't resist flying Vader. Plus I am a newbie so flying Vader gives me some focal point that I lose when playing Zac Bunn's 101 list.

So so far Two Tie fighters, Imperial Veterans for the Bomber and Soontir's Defender, an Interceptor and Vader. I like the mix these have given me but there are obvious holes in list integrity. They don't fly as a team but more to beat my arch nemesis a friend I play with almost 90 percent of the time so I know his fleet. But I am starting to play outside in LGS and getting mopped up. I know I should probably invest in another defender and play the Bunn Imperial with push the limit a wing card but it feels flat.

I feel like a started building a focus toward aces. Any how any ideas on what a good list from these ships would be I have upgrade matching problems? Or any idea on what ship would help this fleet out the most or basically how do you stop me from getting a phantom because it is a PHANTOM. Basically S.O.S. from loyal Imperial citizen.

pick up a tie advanced, you will likely enjoy The Inquisitor

I say get Upisilon Shuttle next. There are a lot of great combos with it especially if you proxy upgrades. It natively gives you action economy & can be upgraded to be quite maneuverable, 4 die primary and 12 hits before she goes down gives you a target to divert attention from aces or defenders.
