Go Rogues !

By Giledhil, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hy fellow pilots !

Here's my latest list that did quite well today, featuring the three Rogue Squadron pilots that survived the movies.
- Luke Skywalker with R5-P9, Expertise, Integrated
- Wedge with BB-8, PtL and Integrated
- Wes with R7, Adaptability and Integrated.

It was quite difficult to budget the three of these in one 100 pts list, and for now, that's the best result I've come to.
Luke can be super tanky (pilot ability + regen 1 shield) without using an action for offense, or go TL + expertise for extra punch.
Wedge gains some repositionning and action blocking denial via BB8. I know putting him EU would be a lot better, but it's quite hard to find the points and still have nice options for the other two.
Wes can fire before Wedge, that's quite useful. Also, R7 may not be a super choice, but it is a conservative one, since Wes is likely to attract fire due to his super annoying ability.

Please feel free to comment of you see some improvements I can do on that list.

I think Wedge is the weak link; he has the least damage mitigation of the three. I imagine epositioning with BB-8 helps. What did you run this against?

Maybe you could put trick shot or a score to settle on wedge? Increase his damage that much more while Wedge does as he pleases.

Today my opponent flew Guri (Adv Sensors, PtL), N'dru with some ordnance and a G1-A (Zuckuss, with Title). That was an easy matchup for me since I had higher PS. Actually, I know Wedge is a risky target, so I sent him flanking through an asteroïd cluster, and that went pretty well, thanks to BB8-barrell rolling in the middle of space rocks.
Actually I would feel way more confident for him if I could add EU (arc dodging shenanigans), but I didn't find the budget for it.

He has PtL so that BB8 acts like a sort of advanced sensors, in case I get blocked. Plus, he can get BR+TL+focus and end the turn unstressed. I don't think Trick Shot or A score to Settle beats this.

I really like that Luke.

Hmm, the only thing I could think of to comment is that I believe R3-A2 to be better on Wes.
It gives you some more control, and with 3 x-wings you want to know where your enemy flies next turn, and stress makes the job that much easier.
I can see the defensive stuff you might get out of R7, but I would personally aim for being as annoying as possible before anything else.

Lol sorry I meant on Wes. Wedge has a fine set up as you described. I'm just saying you have a lot of options with Wes to increase attack.
