The Rules.....
Round 1 – Hot Potato
• Place 12 obstacles with no restrictions.
• Player with initiative places three ‘hot potato’ tokens near the centre of the board.
• Player without initiative may move each token up to Range 1 away.
• Any time a ship base or its movement template overlaps a ‘hot potato’ token, that ship acquires the ‘hot potato’ token. Remove the token from the board and keep it assigned to the ship.
• Any time a ship with a ‘hot potato’ token bumps another ship, it may pass the ‘hot potato’ token to the other ship.
• At the beginning of the combat phase, any ship with a ‘hot potato’ token suffers 1 damage.
• 120 point squadrons. Only 1 ship can be worth more than 40 points.
• 75 minutes.
Round 2 – Portal a Galaxy Far, Far Away…
• Place the Portal in the centre of the board. Place 8 obstacles, each obstacle must be at least Range 1 away from others.
• The Portal blocks all line of sight for shooting purposes.
• Any time a ship’s base or movement template overlaps the Portal token, that ship will be removed from the board. That ship then appears on the Portal token of another random game, under the control of a random player. Pass all the cards from that ship to the new player.
• When a ship appears on a Portal, it can not act until the next turn. It will not affect the game state until the next turn. The ship can fly off the Portal into normal space without any negative effects.
• 120 point squadrons. Only 1 ship can be worth more than 40 points.
• 75 minutes.
Round 3 – Borg Attack
• Place the Borg Cube in the centre of the board. Place 8 obstacles, each obstacle must be at least Range 1 away from the others.
• Designate two ships to be your Command Ships.
• The Borg Cube has no PS. It will always move last and it will always fire first.
• The Borg Cube can not take damage when overlapping or being overlapped. Other ships overlapping or being overlapped will take one face-down damage card.
• The Borg Cube will always have a Focus and Reinforce token at all times. It will attack the nearest ship, every turn. It can not ever have or take critical damage. It’s damage will be recorded with tokens.
• Roll a dice to determine how the Borg Cube will move. 1 – 4 is directional. 5 or 6 is choice of player.
• The Borg Cube will remove any obstacles that it touches.
• Use a 2-straight template to move the Borg Cube. The Borg Cube can not make any impossible moves. Re-roll the dice.
• The game will end when the opposing Command Ships have been destroyed.
• 120 point squadrons. Only 1 ship can be worth more than 40 points.
